Easter is a day set aside in the month of March or April to remember when Christ rose on the third day after being crucified. He had said He would, and He did. This happened during Passover, a Jewish feast to remember when God rescued the Hebrew people from slavery in Egypt. In reality, Easter should be called Passover, because Easter is the name of a spring gooddes, who was worshiped in the spring during the vernal equinox. But now Easter is associated with Jesus' rising from the dead, and is surely different from a goddess' festival. It has been made into something good, not pagan. Christ died for our sins and He rose again, showing us many things, some of which that His word is true, there is life after death, and He really is the Son of God. Easter is also celebrated as a fun time for children with an easter bunny, colored eggs, candy, and other things that children delight in. He lives! I serve a risen Savior, He is in the world today. I know that He is living, No matter what men say! I see His hand of mercy I hear His voice of cheer. And just the time I need Him, He's always near! He lives, He lives! Christ Jesus lives today!
