Fellow Fans Stories
Here's a forum for fans to speak on anything about how the Beatles affected them.  Each person has their own story, and it's nice to get a chance to see where others are coming from about the same band.
I became  a BEATLES FAN when I was 7 years old. It was in
1990, Paul McCartney was doing his world tour and came to Brazil, and
the concert was broadcasted live, and my uncle taped it. When I saw the
tape, he was singing Hey Jude, one my favorite songs and I just "fell in
love" wtih this song, and then, I started to ask my mom: "who's this
guy?" "What's the name of the song?" And then I found out that the song
was from a group called the Beatles. And, that was just the beginning.
Now, I'm 17 and I have all of their CDs.
I never really liked the Beatles, but I had a friend who was,
and still is, CRAZY about them. She made me listen to John Lennon's "I
am the Walrus," and I was trapped, just like that. I, now, appreciate
Paul's soulful ballads more than anything. They always make me feel like
crying, which means they connect with me somehow. I was hurt, like many other fans, when Paul McCartney said that he didnt need to put any
effort into his music because the public would buy anything he put out.
I would like to say that he hasn't written as well SINCE the Beatles. I
also would like to contribute my thoughts on John Lennon' untimley
death. Mark David Chapman was a completley crazy freak that took away from us one of the most influential people in Rock and Roll history.
John, along with Paul, defined music as it is today. My theory is that
John and Paul were the geniuses of the group, while George Harrison and
Ringo Starr (Richard Starkey) were just there to suppport them. Long
live !
John Ono Lennon.
I have heard beatles music since before I can remember. My parents have always been fans so the house was always filled with their music. At first, I didn't like them much for the reason that I was too young to appreciate the talent they had. But as I got older I liked them more and more. Now, I listen them all the time.
Just because they are my youth, and I started to learn english trying to describe the songs.
I became a fan when I was 3 years old.  My cousin, Darlene, was 13 at the time and my babysitter.  Together we watched the Ed Sullivans how on that infamous February night in 1964.  She was caught up in the whirlwind of Beatlemania and I right along with her.  It was total Beatles rule from there.  My first Beatles album was the "White Album" which I asked for Christmas when I was 7 or 8.  That was all I wanted for Christmas.  I should've been asking for Barbie Dolls (which I'm sure  got alright).  My first concert was when I was 14.  I drug four of my  grade school friends to see George Harrison and Ravi Shankar in 1974.  I have one particular fond memory of me teaching my friends the words to "Michelle" at recess time in grade school.  At my grade school graduation myself and my best friend did a compilation of Beatles tunes for the audience.  I on piano and my friend on guitar.  Our music teacher also accompanied us as well.  I think we did "Here Comes The Sun" and! "Yesterday".  I could go on and on about my love of the Beatles.  But there's really only one thing that sums it up for me.  The Beatles isthe one love that I have that no one can ever take away from me.  It ismy true love forever. Thanks...Debbie aka Sunfairy9
well its not interesting its just i'd liked their music for ages and had a theme party for my 13th last year and it was 60's and i started getting pics of the beatles for the walls then i saw their movies then i fell in love with them & their music
I am only nine. I heard about The Beatles  from a friend. Now, i LOVE them all! But, the sad part is that I can not tell anyone. The reason is that the weirdest girl in 4th grade likes them. Only 3  other friends of mine like them. But I like them the most.I even wrote a poem about  John. It is called"The Death Of Mr Lennon." My whole family likes it. I hope one day it will be famous.

I am proud to be a Beatles fan-especially since most of the music that's out today is crap! No matter how old their music is-I always find a song that relates to what mood I'm in.
I became a fan a little over a year ago when a guy who knew aclot about the Beatles and has written articles for the Rolling Stone, gave a lecture on the Beatles at my school.  I've been addicted ever since.
I got into the Beatles due to my love of my fellow Mancunians Oasis, they kept banging on how good they were so I thought Id have a look. My first Album was Sgt Peppers coz it was the cheapest in the shop (£9.99) the rest were all 20 quid, the White Album £30....AND IT WAS A BLOODY SALE, anyway. The week later I bought Abbey Road and Revolver coz I heard they were good albums, then I got abit of dosh and bought the rest in one go (cept the White Album coz its bloody 40 quid now), yesterday i bought the 1s album which is excellent.
Have been a fan since I was 7 when I got the Sgt Pepper album for christmas
When I was 12 "Help!" was shown in TV. I thought it couldn't be bad to
watch it, so I did. Than I was fan. Now I'm nearly 15 and I still listen to their songs. There's no day I don't listen to one of them. I think this band will never lose their magic and brilliance. People will remember these four men in 200 years and even longer.
ALL DAY I DREAM ABOUT BEATLES THEY ARE ALL FOR ME
I LOVE THE BEATLES!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 14 years old and I just can't stand it that there isnt anymore beatles!!!!!!this is so messed up...I should have been born in thee 50's not in the 80's!!!!!!!!!

My uncle actually first introduced me to the Beatles. I was visiting him up in Buffalo and he put on Penny Lane and I quickly became hooked (another reason why Penny Lane is one of my favorites). I also noticed that in the movie "The Rock" Nicholas Cage got one of The Beatles' records in the beginning...I thought it was interesting.

i am one of the world's only seven year old Beatles fans.  I love them just like my Mom!

I became a fan of the Beatles when at nine years old, i heard the song Yesterday. It was a song that just spoke to me. My parents were separating and I was really upset. That song just comforted me somehow. Ever since then, I have loved the Beatles. I like their earliest stuff best--1962-1967.

I can't believe I started liking The Beatles. It was all because of my mom. She was always like, "Oh...you gotta hear this song or album, or you gotta get this and see this...etc" When I started doing that I totally feel in love with The Beatles.

i feel like i am somehow connected to them all, especially john. it is as if i am extremely close to him at times

Oh, I've just always been a fan 'coz I grew up with them and you don't have a chance but to love them, do you ?

I started to like them in the 5th grade. That's not really that exciting-oh well! :o)

They came in to my life after a very tragic event in the USA.  TheKennedy assassination left us all devastated.  I was only 12 years old at the time.  The Beatles were so happy and their music was so uplifting that I fell in love with them IMMEDIATELY!!!  I wrote many stories about them and my friends, meeting and getting married and living happily ever after.  Mind you now, I was 13 years old by then!!
I've bought, or rather, re-bought several CDs recently and enjoy their
music again as an adult.  It's timeless.

I am a fan of The Beatles for several reasons. First of all, I can be mad, sad, or depressed one minute, then hear ANY Beatles' song and feel 100 times better! The Beatles were (and still are) the greatest group in rock-n-roll history. John Winston Lennon, James Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr set a musical precedent to be followed by every other artist since. They were the most influential, innovating, controversial, and ingenius band ever, and they always will be! The songwriting team of Lennon / McCartney was unbelievable, breathtaking, and words can not even begin to describe the impact that each and every song they composed has been praised by millions (even billions) of fans worldwide.

Every year, my family goes to New York for a family reunion over Memorial Weekend. The whole family was always that my Uncle Tim's haircut looked like one of the Beatles'. I was only 6 when I heard them say this for the first time so I went over to my Uncle Denny, and asked him who the Beatles were. He got a tape and had me listen to it, saying"Those are the Beatles." I've been hooked ever since

I've been a Beatle fan for as long as I can remember.  I used to listen to them on the oldies station when I was really young, and I loved them even before I knew they were "the Beatles".  I remember sitting on my parent's bed when I was about 4 years old, and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" was on the radio.  I thought it was a great song, and I asked my parents who was singing. They said, "that's the Beatles!"  So, being 4 years old, I was amazed!  I thought there were little beetles (bugs) in the radio playing instruments and singing...  *LOL*  I was a kid... what can I say?

I became a Beatles fan the day I was conceived.  John has always been my favorite.  When I was really little I think it was the glasses.  When I was ten I got really good at doing the accent.  When the anthology came out I got a little over-enthusiastic, and to this day I think I know everything that a lowly fan can know about John, at
least.  I got over it, but yo, last week I dreamt that my sister and her best friend and me were getting drunk out side of this convenience store, and there was a thing that you could write on and send a little shout out to the dead people, and I wrote to all of them on the list, but I couldn't think of anything to write to John Lennon.  I really couldn't!  It was really frustrating!  So I gave up and got really drunk and went to Hunter's, I'm pretty sure.  I woke up at BFE in the morning (if that term can be applied here) cause I have work then, and a Beatles song was on!  And at work I head four more Beatles songs!  I was only there!  for three hours!  I thought it was a sign.  I wrote to my best friend "I think it's a sign -" here, hold on, let me go get the letter I haven't sent it yet, it's long and I can't afford stamps, damn it! - OK I got it - no, I wrote: "It's a sign, Sarah!  It means . . . that the Beatles are really cool!"  That's my literary masterment right there,
word up.

I am sometimes at a loss for words when it comes to the Beatles. I'm 15, but I scream whenever I see them on tv like it's 1964. My parents were the ones that introduced me to them, but now I'm a bigger fan. I'm a very Beatle-like person  I believe in what they did. Their music is so beautiful and diverse, and it dulls anything else in comparison. They are the best. It is a fact, and any Beatles fan will back me up.  The Beatles, though they are no longer creating new music, continue to be a driving force 'in my life' and I idolize them so much. Their message was great, their music was great. I can't praise them enough.
Peace, love and Beatles...
