"My Music is everybody's Music.". This is what Lucky Ali says about his music. He says "I don't belong to any particular genre. But I don't understand what pop music actually is. There should be no categories. Everybody should express himself or herself in a way they feel best. I am doing what makes me feel good."

When music fans all over India were introduced to O Sanam way back in 1997, Lucky Ali took Indian people by storm. His kind of music was the first time ever India has come across. He has a freshness about him, his voice, his melody and his music. He had very rare combination of genuine composition of music and meaningful lyrics. One can listen to all the ten songs of his any album at any given time. This is very unusual in Indipop scene where artists try to make there mark just with a single song. About his kind of music, Lucky says "My songs are an extension of my personality. It is music that everyone listens to. Everyone understands my music since it is simple and that's the reason why it worked. The moment I start doing difficult things for people to swallow, it will be the end to my music and my career. I come out with what I can understand and if I don't, I keep my mouth shut. My songs reflect the various relationships that I have gone through over the years, the impressions that people I met in the course of my travels left on me and generally, life itself,".

About the simplicity, he says " It's the melody that is important to me. Music is not just about learning notes or playing an instrument. One has to understand music from within and then reach out. I don't like too many instruments, so I consciously try to keep it simple."

"I discover music. I don't believe I create anything; I only discover things. I discovered my form. It may have been there all along. But I searched for it and found it; I discovered that I could express myself in it."

We all know very well that it is very hard to be creative and even harder when you don't have anybody to guide you through or help you out. What do you think about Lucky Ali.
