I don't feel this story was as interesting to me as the other two I actually put up. Nor was it anywhere near what I wanted Nightmares to be. Yet, as I reread it and compare I felt it was much better than the others I've done. And I've only done one page. So why was/is it better to me? Well number one, the characters feel more real. They have individual personalities that come to life as I read and write it. Mostly because they are based loosely on reality. (Emphasis on loosely). Secondly, it doesn't feel as rushed as say nightmares. In nightmares I wanted to get so much done per page, and I accomplished it at the cost of details. I'll have to fix that one day. But look at it. What happens? She talks, stirs her food, and Jared comes over. Not really a lot. Maybe five-ten minute time span? But it has so much detail. Thirdly, the dialog doesn't rule the day. I did this a few times in my other stories, and I feel bad. In Chasing Chase, the actions of the characters give away their stories. It's again, the details that make it better to me. This wasn't really my intention when I started it. It's still not my favorite of the stories, but it is by far the best written. I just hope I can keep it up. ^_^ Not much has happened yet, so this story doesn't quite draw you in yet, but I have this feeling that it will be the best of all of them as soon as I get to making more pages for it. You all will be like...whoa! From now on the other stories won't be rushed as much either. I'll take more time with them. Promise. I sure do make a lot of goals and promises with this site. And I usually come through. Except for the updating regularly part. It's just that updating was never my goal. My goal was to get readers, interest, and feedback. I wanted to entertain you all I suppose. I think Chasing Chase might be the key to that for me. Just wait and see...it will be good!
