WD 2
Lord Fienze tossed a chalice over his shoulder.  The demon woman caught it as well as the rest of the tirade of objects that began to rain down.  She set them done on the table and moved to her Lord.
"What are you doing?"
"Plotting.  Obviously.  I need some object of evil.  We'll start small mind you.  Just take a town an terrorize it.  Then you'll go take out some weak demon Lord so I can get more demons."
"Okay, then why the object of evil? I go in, kill the army of the town, you rule it.  I go kill the Demon Lord.  How is this complicated?"
"Oh no, we can't kill anyone!" Fienze said, looking horrified.
"Excuse me?  DId you say what I thought you said?  How do you expect to accomplish any evil without killing anyone?" the demon said, setting her book down and touching her sword nervously.  Her fingers ran along the hilt, tracing the Chinese symbols carved deep within the metal.
"If you kill everyone, then who will serve you!  But you asked how you were to accomplish this didn't you?  Simple!  With this!" A large pink duck was held high in the air.  The beak was a deep green and clashed with the pink.  "This!  Is the legendary Malard of Malicious Maladies!"
"Uh huh.  And I'm supposed to do what with it?"
"It gives people strange sicknesses.  Such as Frog Feet Flu.  Such evil!  You just point it at someone and squeeze the tail feathers.  With this you shall conquer THAT town!"  Fienze pointed the duck at a map convienently located on the back wall. The demon glanced at it and rolled her eyes. He had pointed to a swamp, devoid of human life.
"You go on ahead with the duck.  I shall arrive to claim my victory in a few hours!  Now go!"
The demon woman wasn't exactly sure what to do.  She caught the duck as it was chucked at her head, but this Demon Lord had seemed so intelligent.  Now he was getting weirder and weirder.  But she might as well go to the swamp and "take over."

The demon woman's coat fluttered in the wind as she looked around at the swamp.  Hovering just above the muck, she stepped determinately forward.
"I just can't believe it," she said,  lookiing in amazement as she spotted a building.  People actually lived here.  She kept moving and noticed that there were more buildings.  In fact....there was a whole city within this swamp.  Tall buildings of wood had been constructed beneath the protective canopy of the swamp.  Children played on rocks that had been layed out in a sort of road.  Small boats carved of a dark wood were tied to poles along the houses.  A few had clothes resting on their sides to dry.   One man had even filled a small boat with dirt and was growing a garden.   She rolled her eyes and moved forward.  One child looked innocently up at her and began to laugh.  She glanced down at her duck and let out a sigh of exasperation.
"Idiot," she muttered, as she tossed the duck over her shoulder.  It made a plop as it fell into the water.  She could just have to come back for it later.  Leaving her sword tied to her side, she moved past the children.  No killing had been the rule.  She would just have to be creative in her measures.  Stopping, she turned with an evil smile to look at the children.  They screamed in fright and ran from the demon.  There little feet ran in the air as they flew upward and were dangled upside down.  People began to come out of their homes to see what the screams were all about.  Vines from the trees wrapped around the children and held them tight.
"DEMON!" someone called.  More screams ensued and mothers desperately fell down crying.  An army seemed to appear out of nowhere.  Men had grabbed spears and shields and helmets from inside the boats.  Woman began to move into their homes for security.  Apparently they were an overly cautious people.  That would explain the swamp location.  With the vines holding the children tightly and out of harms way, she began to stir up the waters.
"I demand to see the leader of this town.  NOW!" she said, as the water began to boil.  The people immediately saw the danger.  Their houses would be destroyed if this kept up.  The army moved forward, but steam had begun to rise.  The metal on their armor and shields began to burn their skin.  Men screamed in pain as they tore off their armor.
"Defenseless aren't you?  Bring me the leader and I will spare your children," she said.  The children still cried out in fear, but they were actually a lot better off than their parents.  Hovering high above the boiling water and steam, the leaves seemed to shield their small bodies.  One man moved forward from among the burned men.
"What is it you want demon?"
"Isn't it obvious?  This town.  Now you can all survive this day or I can keep thiis up," she said.
"We shall never surr..." A hand formed out of the steam and clutched the leaders throat. He saw as hands similarly formed around everyone in town's neck.
"What was that?"
"We surrender!  Please!  Stop!  We swear our allegiance to your lord!"  And with that all the steam vanished.  The waters cooled.  And the vines came alive once more to let the children down safely on the ground.  They ran to their mothers' arms.
"That's what I thought.  Now everyone swear their allegiance to Lord Fienze Valock!"   Hundreds of voices made the oath.  "Good.  Well, he won't be here for a few more hours.  So, I suggest you all go take care of your wounds.  And if you even think about stirring up a rebellion, I will know."  The demon took off to find the stupid pink duck.  Where did she put it?  She had hoped the thing would float.  It was a duck.  But such was her luck.  At least it was bright pink.  She managed to find it in a few moments.
"Stupid duck," she muttered as she went off to see what else was in this accursed swamp.
