Happy Birthday!!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Clone Wars Unofficial Site is now 3 months old! Okay, so you are probably thinking, "Who cares?!" Well for one thing I have never seen a website grow so fast as this one has. In three short months this site has become quite a resource. But the real reason to celebrate is that soon this site will be moving. Thanks to O-B-Gates and Mr. Bond a new layout for this site is being perfected as we speak. It should be ready for the public a week and a half at most. The new url will be http://www.starwarz.com/clonewarseu That's right. The same place that hosts Nathan Buttler's Star Wars Timeline Gold will be the new home for The Clone Wars Unofficial Site. Add the new URL to your favourites and spread the word. The Clone Wars Unofficial Site is moving! |

Clone Wars Update | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
I have been informed of some important insider information. Delrey is scrapping the entire Clone Wars program. Shatterpoint will still be released but it's price will be $50.00 to make up for the cancelled books. To make up for this and to prevent controversy over release dates Delrey will release a 5 new books on April 1st, 2004. The First will be a Kyp Durron novel called I, Jerk. Second will be a new Galaxy of Fear book. The old characters will be grown up and fighting the Vong, working title The Bad, Bad Boogie Men. Third is a new book by Paul and Hollace Davids called Son of an Emporer! Fourth is a butt-kicking Yoda novel by Vonda Macyntre, Barbara Hambly and Kevin J. Anderson. The title will be The Rogue Kaibur Crystal and how it helped to destroy the Nostril of Palpatine. The fifth and final novel in the list is book where Luke and Mara get divorced and Luke runs away with Lando's wife and Droma builds this huge superweapon and blows up Nal Hutta not knowing that Han is there but Boba Fett rescues Han at the last minute and Tarkin's son kidnaps Leia who contacts Jacen through the Force and who tells Jaina who is on her way to see Han and Mara decides she has to kill Luke but the reborn Anakin arrives and tells Mara that he's really the Emperor's clone. Title Forthcoming. If any of tthe above leaves you with lingering doubts or general confusion simply note the DATE and recall traditions tied to it. |

Clone Wars Update | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Big News!!! First is some changes to the timeline. The ne timeline in Maze of Deception puts it self 1.5 months after AOTC. Since AOTC ended on the 23rd of it's month that puts Maze in the HNN month 13:7. That same timeline alsio places The Cestus Deception at 12 month after AOTC and Escape from Dagu at 9 months after AOTC. Now the really big news. From the Official Site: Four generations of Jedi have faced a common enemy, and their tale featuring some of the most revered and powerful Jedi warriors is being told in an upcoming hardcover book from Scholastic Inc. Star Wars: Legacy of the Jedi, an epic tale of four generations of Jedi is by Jude Watson, the best-selling author of the Jedi Apprentice and Jedi Quest series. It features cover illustration by David Mattingly, with design by Keirsten Geise. It is scheduled for release on August 2003. Click Here for the full story. In short this book will be divided into four sections. One with Yoda and his apprentice Dooku, one with Dooku and his apprentice Qui-Gon Jinn, one with Qui-Gon and his apprentice Obi-Wan Kenobi, and one with Obi-Wan and his apprentice Anakin. The very last part will be set during the cClone Wars. The common enemy, Lorian Nod, will be in all four sections. Remember that last time ude Watson came out with a new "stand alone" book it turned out to be the pilot for the Jedi Quest series. So don't be suprised if this turns out to be the pilot for some other new series! |

Clone Wars Comic Update
Sorry if these updates are late but I've been busy. First is a sneak peek at Durge-a new Bounty Hunter we will see in Republic 51 which hits the stands this wednesday. Click here to see the picture of him stomping Obi-Wan as well as a pic of his action figure. Second is Anakin's new modified Jedi Starfighter. He just couldn't resist-remember he modifies the Tie fighter later as Darth Vader. Click here to see pics of it . It has been confirmed that this new fighter will probably be seen in Republic sometime after the Battle of Jabim stories. Look for it around issue #60 or so |

Clone Wars Comic Update
I posted my guesses for the Clone Wars trade paperbacks over at the starwars.com message boards. Here is the answer I got from Darth Poodle(Chris Cerasi, Editor at LucasBooks): You are pretty close, my friend! You are absolutely correct about Volume 1. Volume 2 is 51-53 and Shaak Ti (Jedi 2), Volume 3 is 55-59 and Volume 4 is 54 and Aayla and Dooku (Jedi 3 and 4) |

Clone Wars Update | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Randy Stradly said on the darkhorse message boards "But, the next JEDI installment features some battle scenes and, though it's five issues away, so does the four-issue arc that begins in REPUBLIC #55." We already know the contents of the first Clone Wars TPB. Here are my guesses-repeat only guesses-for the others. Volume 1-49, 50, Mace Windu. Volume 2-51, 52, Shaak Ti. Volume 3-53, 54, Aayla Secura. Volume 4-55, 56, 57, 58. |

Clone Wars Update | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
First off Jedi: Mace Windu and Republic #50(the big Attack on Kamino one)hit stores today. Included in them was a timeline. Although it was not as comprehensive as mine it did clear up some things. Notice Republic #49 is now set at "Month of Attack of the Clones" instead of a month later as I had it before. In other news one of the starwars.com message board VIPs who goes by Darth Poodle announced today that the November 2004 novel Jedi Trial by David Sherman and Dan Cragg wil focus on Anakin. |

Clone Wars Animated Series is now Official!!!
This is now official information found on StarWars.com Picking up where Episode II left off, the saga of the Clone Wars will continue through animated shorts premiering this year from the Cartoon Network and Lucasfilm Ltd. Star Wars: Clone Wars will be a series of 20 animated shorts that will air on the Cartoon Network in 2003-2004 between other programming. Helming this new series is Genndy Tartakovsky (see Three-Minute Epics: A Look at Star Wars: Clone Wars), the acclaimed creator of "Samurai Jack" and "Dexter's Laboratory." The episodic shorts will be two- to three-minutes in length and will air exclusively on Cartoon Network at regularly scheduled times beginning this fall. The epic Clone Wars dominated the final years of the Galactic Republic, as Jedi-led clone troopers battled against the evil forces of the Separatists. Joining already established Star Wars characters in the series will be several new and ruthless adversaries. "We are incredibly excited to be working with Lucasfilm in creating an animated story that extends one of the world's most beloved entertainment properties," said Sam Register, senior vice president of development for Cartoon Network. "Cartoon Network's creative team will work hand-in-hand with Lucasfilm to make sure that our common vision for Clone Wars thrills Star Wars fans around the world." "Genndy Tartakovsky and the team at Cartoon Network are tops in their field," said Howard Roffman, president of Lucas Licensing. "Their work on 'Samurai Jack' shows that they can tell an epic story in a unique way, lavishing equal attention on dramatic battle scenes as well as dramatic development of the characters." Keep checking starwars.com for new developments on this exciting new series. For more information about the Cartoon Network, see their official site.
