In the Semi-Darkness
I tour the clubs,
Seeking perfection
In any form.
While across my vision drifts glimpses
Of my pasts, my presents,
All those possible...impossible...futures.
I wonder at the
Influences I had
The impacts I've made
And at all my...chances missed.
I think about the
Places I've been,
Where my life is now,
And all the directions I can go.
The cards hold what?
The stars cross where?
Life will end when?
Fate means me...for whom?
I've been told, and I know it to be true,
That places like these hold no answers.
But then I look up and notice the LIFE around me,
And I believe that in the bustle and busy-ness,
There is ONE question I can answer here...Why?
