In Your Heart
As I lay in this bed,
And feel the gentle breeze
As it washes over my body
The thought of your touch comes to me.
I can feel you stroking my cheek,
And whispering, "I love you."
Softly in my ear.
I turn to caress the empty air
That I wish would be replaced
By the smooth lines of you,
Your body so strong beneath my touch.
My mind runs through the memories
That it will keep forever in it's hold:
The feel of your hair brushing against my chest
The feel of your hand in mine
As we walk in the sand.
I whisper to the empty air,
The words I wish to say to you,
And know in my heart that somewhere
You hear me, in your heart.
