The Closet Squatters are a Celtic Punk rock band from Chicago. In 2000, guitarist Bill and singer/bassist Dan started messing around with different ideas in Dan's basement. Soon they realized there was something there, and recruited punk turned hippie drummer Charlie. Nothing really got off the ground until 2002/2003 when Dan met violinist Sam Squatter and recruited him to play for the band. Soon it was quite obvious that a hippie drummer would not do, and drummer Corsh was brought into the picture. The Closet Squatter's sound was almost complete when Sam met Inga, who soon became their second guitarist/ constant ass slapee. Sadly after only a summer together, violinist Sam had to move to the dirty south, AKA Florida, and the band lost a valued member. Dan found a violinist to fill in for Sam, and now Erica has fiddled her little heart out at shows. The current line-up is Danny Death-vocals, bass / Bill-guitar, vocals / Inga-guitar, occasional vocals when no one is listening / Corsh-drums and the skateboard / Erica-violin. This is one band you won't want to miss.
