Before America Ferrera obtained Golden Globe award for best performance by an actress in a television series-comedy or musical for her role in 'Ugly Betty', I was like going through some preparation to watch this important touching event. In mid November 2006 I visited a gathering event of my ex-junior high school friends held in my friend’s house Mario, whose wife name is Betty, but of course she is not an ugly wife, she is a beautiful wife of him. Then in December 2006, the death of former president Gerald Ford reminded me that his wife name is Betty, and of course she is a beautiful first lady. Nevertheless, there is an important message for me regarding the death of former president Gerald Ford, because he was known as the longest living president of the United States. It was like reminding me that if I would commit with my consent to move out to the eternity as soon as possible, then I should avoid the political world. A few years earlier there was also a TV series called "Betty La Fea", a telenovela made in Columbia, televised in Indonesia in 2001, about an ugly looking girl name Betty who involves in some social, economic, racial, education and gender inequality. Beatriz Pinzón Solano, a well-educated, intelligent, idealistic and timid woman who was ugly looking, wearing braces on her teeth, and thick eyeglass, got a job at a major fashion design company. Although she was educated as an economist, she could only obtain a job as a secretary. Later on she underwent a transformation --- the braces were gone, the thick glasses were replaced by wire frames and the hair was restyled. 64th annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California January 15, 2007, has another related meaning for me regarding my painting. The Golden Globe for America Ferrera for her role in the movie "Ugly Betty" has inevitably given a meaningful moment for me since it was like inspired by my previous painting of "Bayang Wayang Paris", whereas like I wrote in my previous letter "Two New Paintings, Paris with Wayang", one of the paintings contains the meaning of "……reason for using Kumbokarno figure was only for artistic matter, because he seems like representing my ugly face".

When I worked the painting of 'Bayang Wayang Paris', as usual like in my other paintings sometimes the face that I painted look more like someone else, not resembled the person that I meant to paint. Although I meant to paint Paris Hilton in that painting, yet for several days it looks more like Angelina Jolie. Until later on after I applied more layers of colors and matched it with the photo, it became to look more like Paris Hilton. And apparently it was like inspiring Brad Pitt to pose resembled to the painting like in the above photo. It becomes like a "handsome support" from Brad Pitt. Of course it is not a political support.
