In 1992, besides the Immigration Visa application, I also experienced another interesting thing, obtaining the invitation to join Oxford Club.

After on February 1992 I sent the amount of US$ 350 I obtained from Mr. Suwito D. to Holland and Knight Law offices for the immigration visa, on May 6, 1992, I also sent some amount of money to pay the one year member fee at Oxford Club, using my own money.

Letter of invitation to join Oxford Club came to me around March 1992, followed around two days later by the news about presidential candidate Bill Clinton at Jakarta newspaper Kompas, in the international section, with headline: "Bill Clinton Is a Graduate from Oxford". It was then that I realized, I have been stuck in the middle of the campaign of two strong presidential candidates, because the lawyer who sent me a reply after I sent the US $350 was George E. Crimarco, like representing president George H.W. Bush who at that moment was trying to get his second term in the White House.

And when later on Bill Clinton won the presidential office, I felt like I owe some mistakes to the Bush family. Though of course I also realized that I was not intentionally involved in the U.S. presidential race of 1992, I was just trying to immigrate to the U.S. and also to become the member of Oxford Club after getting the invitation to apply for the membership.

A few years later after former president George H.W. Bush' son, the present president George W. Bush, successfully gained his second term in the White House while I was writing some letters to him through "e-mails to mr. president", I felt relieved from my owe to the Bush family.

But of course, most of all the success of President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush were the result of their success team hard work; I was only stuck in the middle, unintentionally.
