This is just a little bit about me for those of you who wish to know.  There isn't much exciting but I will do my best to tell of interesting things.
I live in British Columbia, Canada, in a small farming community.  I am really blessed to be in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains, no matter the direction I look.  The US border is only a few kilometers (yup metric stuff) away, so no reason my American friends can't just jump on up and visit. I have lived for nearly 20 years in the Yukon Territories and would go back in a flash.  While there I was a Heavy Equipment Operator in the mining sector.
Cassiar, BC.  I lived and worked in this mining town of less than 2000 for nearly 10 yrs. The picture I borrowed from the Cassiar website.
This life journey I have been wandering on for nearly 50 years.  My husband, of 30 years, and I, were enjoying our new found empty nest. Now our daughter and 2 yo grandson have moved home for a while, so I am getting use to having toys under foot. Our son comes to visit for a few hours at a time, but has his own home.  So we are working on being empty nesters again.

I have worked with Special Needs teenagers and behavioural teens in a Middle School. I am a  teacher, and in December 2003 completed my BA in History and Geography. Now I am studying for my Graduate diploma in Technology and Learning ( one more year) then I have one year after to complete my Masters of Education.  One day I hope to travel with my profession to work with other cultures before I get to old.
**** I am leaving in February 2004 to teach BC high school for 5 months in Tiayuan, Northern China.  It is a fabulous opportunity and am very excited.  **** Updated**** I am now back, I stayed one year and came home due to illness.  I hope to get a page up reflecting that time overseas.

I love the outdoors and do a lot of camping and hiking when I can get away.  (In the winter months skiing use to take up many weekends.)  Now school or life does. My son is the ski instructor of the family, daughter skis and snowboards, Dad skis, and me, well I ski but go to be closer to the mountains and the Creator.
This is one of my favorite places.  It is a meadow in the mountains that is sanctuary for deer and birds of prey.
I use to have the time when school (work) was out for summer I traveled the powwow circuit with my friends, Patricia and Ron,  and sometimes even come home to the family during the week.  The very first time I knew I had found where I belonged, was on sacred ground at one of the big powwows I attended every year.  Now, walking the Red Road is how I try to live my life.  This is why you will find references throughout my pages to the Native American and First Nations people.

I was given the name Cloudwalker, by a very dear friend of mine.  Leonard, was my mentor for a long time, between him and Bearshield, they helped to guide me on the path, helped me to understand my visions, and the gifts that the Great Spirit gifted me with.  For this I will always walk and speak with the honour that they entrusted with me, and will pass along the wisdom they shared.

Now I spend time with my grandson, as youth is so fleeting, teaching, and doing some photography.  Learning is also something that is constant in my life, with school and experiences that just present themselves.

So that is me.  I love to smile and laugh. Enjoy sharing with friends and meeting new ones along this journey.  If you would like to contact me you can via my email on the homepage or I can be found most  early mornings on Paltalk or Yahoo Messenger under cloudwlkr.  May the Creator bless you and those with whom you share your heart and home. Aho.
