Dan Cloutier Named NHL Player Of The Month

Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Canucks are pleased to announce that goaltender Dan Cloutier has been named NHL Player of the Month for the month of November. Through the Canucks 24 games, Cloutier ranks first among NHL goalies with 14 wins. This month, Cloutier has helped lead the club to an impressive 12-1-0 record and a current ten game win streak.
With 12 starts in 13 games in November, Cloutier’s record was 11-1-0. For the month, Cloutier posted a save percentage of .920 and a 2.14 GAA. Throughout November, Cloutier was awarded the 1st star three times, 2nd star once and 3rd star twice. In his busiest game, November 9th at Phoenix, Cloutier stopped 35 of 37 shots.
In his sixth NHL season, the 26-year-old Quebec native is off to a career best start with a 14-5-3 record. He is also ranked 3rd in the league in minutes played with 1279 and has made 22 of 24 starts for the Canucks this season.
Cloutier is the second goaltender and the fourth Canuck to be named NHL Player-of-the-Month. Kirk McLean was the first netminder to receive the honour.
The Canucks will try to extend their win streak to 11 games tomorrow, when they continue their road trip in Long Island to play the New York Islanders.
