Dan the Man
Rookie goaltender Dan Cloutier was impressive in making his first start since Feb. 22. In that game at Calgary, Cloutier was pulled after giving up two goals on three shots. He showed no signs of rustiness Sunday, though, finishing with 31 saves. He was at his best in the second and third periods when the Rangers went more than 21 minutes without a shot on goal.
When asked if he was surprised Cloutier played so well after the long layoff, Rangers coach John Muckler replied: "I'm really not. You know why? Because the guy is a hell of a goaltender."
