Let's learn some basic pronouns.
Watashi =I(female.) It can also be pronounced atashi.
Watakushi =I(female.) This is used mostly by upper class females, mothers, elders, business women, etc.
Boku =I(male.)Usually, younger kids or more sophisticated men use this.
Ore =I (male.) Rebellious,confident,and social guys use this.
Anata =you. This can be used to address your husband, or someone you dislike or are unfamiliar with.
Kimi = you. This is used to address a person younger than you. Usually, men use this toward female, students, and kids.
Tachi =us or we. It is used at the end of the other pronouns. For example, watashi tachi means us (female.)
Anoko/sonoko =her, she.
Aitsu =him, he.
Simple Sentences
In the Japanese language, the verb "is" is "wa." Whether the tense or if the noun is plural or not, the verb "wa" does not change form.
Forming Questionsdare =who
nani =what
itsu =when
doko =where
naze/doushite =why
doh/doyatte =how
Kimi wa dare? =you is who? = who are you?
Watashi wa doko?= I is where? =where am I?
Aitsu wa doh?= him/he is how? =how is he?
In a sentence that requires the verb "is", such as where is he, is he well, the sentence structure will be:
noun/pronoun+is(wa)+adverb(nani,doko...)+action/other verb (if any.)
