Title: Too Beautiful For Words Summery: Martha and Johnathan go to Metropolis for the weekend and Nell is always at her boyfriend Dean's house. Clark and Lana are feeling lonely. Timeline: Before Nell left but not really centered around a certain episode area. Rating: 14A I guess. Just descriptive kissing and groping, all the fun stuff. ~*~*~*~*~*~ The house was quiet when Lana unlocked the door and crossed the threshold. "Nell?!" she called while locking the door behind her and wandering into the kitchen. "Nell?! Are you..." she spotted the scrawled note on the refridgerator, "...here." she finished as she plucked the note out from under the magnet and read it. Lana, Sorry, I won't be home tonight. Dean is taking me to a circus in Grandville. There's tv dinners in the freezer if your hungry. Love Nell PS: remember to put the clothes in the dryer. "Gee thanks Nell." Lana said sarcastically, crumpling the note up and tossing it into the trash. "This is shaping up to be a very fun weekend." she said to herself. Then, with a sigh, she went into the living room and plopped onto the sofa to watch some tv. ~*~*~*~*~*~ "Have fun." Clark told his parents as they got into the truck for their drive to the city. They were spending the weekend there for some reason they didn't tell Clark about. They said it was an early anniversary thing, but Clark wasn't buying it. "Take care while we're gone." Martha called through the truck's passenger side window then they drove off down the dirt driveway and off down the paved highway. When they were out of sight Clark looked over at Lana's house. The living room light was on. 'what could she be doing right now?' he thought with a smile as he thought about her laughing at some funny show on the tv. With a sigh he went back into the house and turned on the tv. ~*~*~*~*~*~ Lana felt like crying she was so bored. There was nothing to watch and no one to talk to. Except... nah, Clark wouldn't want to see her... would he? She turned off the tv and got up to look out the living room window. She saw that there was a light on in the house and the truck was gone. She remembered Clark telling her that his parents were going to the city for the weekend. 'Maybe he's as lonely as I am.' she thought to herself. She plopped back on the couch and looked around the room for something interesting. Then it was decided for her by someone up there that she was meant to hang out with Clark tonight. Happily she grabbed her keys and put on her jacket and shoes and was out the door. ~*~*~*~*~*~ Clark was just popping a bag of microwave popcorn in the nuker when there was a friendly knock at his door. It was a Lana knock he was sure of it. With a big smile on his face he hurried to answer it. "Hey, Lana." he greeted her, opening the screen door and letting her in. It was starting to get dark outside now, the sun had just set on the horizon. "Hey. I thought we might be able to keep each other company." she said stepping inside, her shoulder brushing his chest as she walked by. 'thank God. I was bored out of my mind.' Clark thought as he closed the door against the chilly air. "Yeah. I was just making popcorn. My dad rented me some movies when he was in town this afternoon." he told her. "Sounds better than what I was doing at home." she said lightheartedly as she took off her jacket and hung it over that back of one of the kitchen table chairs. "Where's Nell?" Clark asked as he pressed the numbers to start up the microwave. There was no idea on God's green earth that was better than sharing popcorn and movies with Lana Lang and actually having conversation was even better. Lana sighed and leaned against the counter. "Nell is off with Dean for the weekend at the circus in Grandville. I thought I was going with them tomorrow but I guess they couldn't wait." Lana said with a hint of sadness in her voice. Clark felt bad now. He was so happy that she was here, but she wanted to be in Grandville. "I'm sorry." he said. "It's not your fault, Clark. Nell just doesn't think about things before she does them anymore. Not since she met Dean." she replied putting a sense of loathing into the name 'Dean'. Clark couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, you never know, maybe Dean will turn out to be a crossdressing stripper and Nell will dump him and get back to her old self." he joked, smiling at her. She looked at him for a beat then burst out laughing. "I'm sorry. I just got a mental picture." she said while struggling to breath she was laughing so hard. She went over to him and hugged him, she hadn't meant to, it just seemed natural. "You always find a way to make me smile." she told him, hugging him tightly around his waist as his arms came around her. Their difference of height didn't effect how well she fit into his arms. It was like he was made for her, made to hold her like this. When she lifted her head from his chest he was looking down at her, a half smile gracing his lips and those kind eyes that always had the Kent tenderness to them. *Beep Beep BEEEEP* when the microwave, interupting their moment. Lana giggled and stepped out of his arms so he could remove the full bag of popcorn. Her eyes drank in the sight of him when he wasn't looking. Then he turned to her 'busted' she thought. Clearing her throat she said "So, what movies did your dad get." smiling innocently and moving into the living room where three movies were in a stack in the coffee table. Clark followed her and sat on the couch putting the popcorn on the coffee table. "My dad doesn't have great taste in movies." he warned her as she read the titles. "Ghost Ship. My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Urban Legends. Yeah, I agree. Next time we'll go with him to get movies." she told him. She picked one out of the stack and popped it into the VCR. "This one of good though. Nell and I watched it pre-Dean." after making sure the movie was rewound she went to the couch and sat beside him. Clark smiled as she grabbed the popcorn and pulled her feet up on the couch, leaning into him. 'score!' he thought, as she took his arm and wrapping it around her. His hand was now on her hip, this was the closest he had ever been to her when one of them wasn't under the influence of something. The movie started. And finished. Lana was now half on his lap, her head resting on his shoulder, half asleep. His hand had migrated from her hip to her thigh as the movie played. His other hand was in hers, she had grabbed it during the movie and was playing with his fingers. Now their fingers were laced together. "Is the movie already over?" she asked in a half whisper. "Yeah." he replied. "Want me to put in another one?" he asked but really he didn't want to move from this really comfortable spot with Lana curled up, half in his lap. She was so cute, another of the many reasons he loved her. "Hmm..." she shifted and Clark thought she was getting up, his instead she shifted closer to him. "If you want." she said softly lifted her head to look into his eyes. 'wow' she thought 'he has the most amazing eyes. So intense.' And his lips, drifting closer, 'ohgodohgodohgod... he's gonna kiss me. Yes please kiss me Clark.' she said in her head as his lips hovered merely a hairs width from hers. Her lips parted in invitation and he took it. Tingles raced through their unsuspecting bodies as their lips brushed in a sweet, chast kiss. Lana let out a little moan when he leaned closer pulling her completely onto his lap. They kissed like that for what seemed like hours. Just enjoying the feel of the sensations they could invoke in each other. There was a moment hesitation when he felt her tongue slip between his lips. But all hesitancy was gone when she shifted again and was now...straddling... his lap. The kiss was getting very heated now, it went from innocent, to passionate, to deep, and now to heated and fiery. She leaned her body into his as he responded to her french kiss. Never had she been kissed with so much...love? It just felt right as his hands came into play and caressed her up and down her back. Soon the kissing turned into a full make out session. She let out a moan and pleasant surprise when his hands cupped her rear. Her heart was pounding so hard she thought it might jump out of her chest. She had to break away to breathe. When her lips left his he tried to chase after them. But he himself was in need of some oxygen as well. He opened his eyes and looked into hers, they were somewhat darker than usual and her face was flushed. He smiled at her as she breathed deeply to catch her breath. He ran his hand up her arm to her cheek, she was so warm and soft. He must he dreaming. 'I'm dreaming' Lana thought as his hand caressed her cheek. She leaned into that hand, just loving the way his skin felt against hers. "I think its time for us to admit something." she said when her breath had returned to her. Clark drank in her gorgeous features. She truly was too beautiful for words. He often found himself at a loss for any words when she was near. "What's that?" he said, teasing her. She watched his lips as they formed the words and she had to kiss them again. She didn't hold back. Her lips pressed against his almost urgently. They tongues immediately came out of play, rubbing against each other just as her body rubbed against his. Now they she had a little taste of him she was starving for more.. and more.. and more of his sweet masculine scent and taste. Her hands held his face as his hands caressed her sides, hips, back and thighs. She had to admit to herself that she never had this much fun making out... ever. When his kiss ended she only gave herself one breath before her lips were on his once more. He knew that this was real but he was scared to let himself believe it because in his dreams as soon as he believed that it was real the dream ended. Just in case this was a dream, he wasn't going to admit to his brain that it was actually happening. Gradually the kissed died down and became little pecks. "uh.. wow." she whispered, her face inches from his. This was like one of those dream sequences where the couple had just realized that they love each other and they're about to suck face like there was no tomorrow... well in this case they already had that covered, but it still felt like a dream sequence from a drama tv show or really cheesy chick flick. "Yeah." Clark agreed. "So, you were saying something about us admitting something...." he reminded her. She nodded. "How much admitting are we talking here?" he asked. She opened her mouth to speak but no words were come out. Then suddenly six words came to her mind and she just said them. "I'm falling in love with you." she told him. "Lana..." he started to say. "No wait. Let me rephrase. I am in love with you." she corrected herself. Then braced herself for his bumbling and rejecting. But it didn't come. Clark finally let himself believe that this wasn't happening. It definitely had all the qualities of the perfect sex dream, but without the sex. "Lana... I've been in love with you for what seems like... a long time." he told her. She broke out into an estatic smile and kissed him again. The other secrets could come later, right now she just wanted to enjoy what she had now. She knew that Clark loved her.... 'This is so neat' she was her last coherent thought before all thoughts turned to 'oh.my.god.could.he.be.any.better.a.kisser?' ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Epilogue Lana's POV I gotta tell ya. That day I went to his house and watched that comedy about a greek wedding, that was arguably the best night of my life. That was the night I realized just how much Clark Kent meant to me, and still means to me. Don't get me wrong, I always knew there was something between us that was just... magical. I thought fairytales just didn't happen in real life. But I was wrong. Right now, I feel like I'm living in a comic book. Clark and I moved to Metropolis to go to university. He studied journalism and I went into fashion design. We were both happy, living in the couples dorm on campus. Still so in love that going to class and being away from each other was the hardest thing, forget about the hard schoolwork. I found myself working hard in class just to get it over with faster so I could return to his arms. It was July 19th 2009 he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I gotta tell you I thought he was joking but the look in his eye was genuine. And when he slipped that ring on my finger I balled with joy, I hugged him and kissed him and that night we made passionate love on the floor of all places because we never made it to the bed. Our wedding was held at a beautiful Chapel in the country a little ways from Smallville. His parents were there, full of joy, Nell and Dean were there. They had married a month after I left for university. Our friends, Chloe and Pete, they've been dating for a year now, my old cheerleading friends, all with boyfriends except for Delia who hasn't found that someone, but there's no doubt she will. Now I'm married, no Superman. Like I said, I feel like I'm living in a comic book. It takes a lot of understanding and patience, but I know he saves a lot of people. I bet your wondering how I know that Clark has all his extraordinary abilities. When we were still in highschool, the eleventh grade to be precise, I was caught in a buring building, it was the internship place I was studying at for a semester. Clark came in and saved me, flying me out a window, yes flying. I'm twenty-five now and baby number one is on the way. In seven months Clark and I will have a new reason to be happy. We told everyone about a week ago about the coming addition to the family and everyone was a little worried because isn't exactly human, at all, even though he's more human than anyone I've met. The family is ok with it now. Clark went to his home in the North pole and his real mother assured him that no harm would come to me. Clark is always concerned about me. Another reason I love him. Did I tell you about our house. It's really nice. It's just ourside the city in a subdivision a ways in from the highway. It's nice and Clark liked it because it was big enough for us to have three children, and that was his wish for us. We bought the house soon after we saw it and moved in within a week. And now that brings us to the present. I'm lying on our new bed, king size by Clark's insistence, with my wonderful husband telling our unborn child the tale of some rabbit who got lost in the forest or something. I'm not really listening, I'm just watching him be all cute, his hands touching my slightly protuding belly where our baby grows inside me. Clark had really grown up, his body has beefed up quite a bit more than when we first started going together. He really has changed, but he's still the Clark I love with all my heart. He had finished his story to the baby and crawls up my body to kiss me. After four years of marriage we still act like hormonal teens who are just finding out what love can do for them. He holds me close as we kiss then he pulls away and presses a single kiss to my nose. "Have I told you how beautiful you are?" he asks me. I grin. "Yep. But it's been twenty minutes, I might be started to doubt it." I tease him. He chuckles and tells me how beautiful I am and how much he loves me. Those words never lose their thunder, I always get choked up when I hear them, even if I'm so mad at him that I shake like a drug adict, those words still hit home in a good way. "Thank you." I say, cuddling closer to him. I decided a long time ago that being in love with Clark was my favorite thing to be, and I'll never change, ever. ~*~*~*~*~*~ The End BACK |
