"Whitney." Lana said in surprise when she opened her door. "What are you doing here?" she asked him, not inviting him in. She had been in the process of planning out a break up speech and now here he was.

"Can't I come by and see my girl?" he asks and moved to kiss her, but she pulled back. "Lana.." he said, his voice full of confusion.

Lana took a deep breath and looked into the eyes of the man she used to love. Or as least she thought she had loved him at some point. "Whitney, we need to talk." she said seriously. "I can't see you anymore." she blurted out.

There was a dramatic pause before Whitney said loudly, "What!? Your breaking up with me?" he couldn't believe it. Lana, his girlfriend, was telling him she didn't want to be with him anymore. "What the f**k, Lana!"

"Don't yell at me, Whitney. I'm just being honest. I'm not in love with you." Lana told him. "I'm in love with someone else." she said not even realizing she said it. She looked at the floor and questioned herself quietly, "I'm in love with someone else?"

"Who is it. Kent? That freak? You should have told me you like freaks, Lana because I sure as hell don't want to be known as the one that wasn't freaky enough for you." he rambled. When Lana didn't say anything he ran a hand through his blond locks and tried to calm himself. "You know what? f**k you, Lana!" he yelled before storming off to his truck and speeding away.

Lana just stood there in the doorway for a few minutes, listening to the crickets and watching the fireflies. It was beginning to get dark when she finally went inside and closed the door. She leaned back against the hard wood and took a deep breath as the realization hit her. "I'm in love with Clark Kent." she said. She always senced that there was something between them, but she never noticed until now how deeply she cared for him.

"What was that, Lana?" Nell asked as she came into the entrance room from the living room. "Did you say something dear?"

"I broke up with, Whitney." she said. "He was just being so pushy and so possessive and I just fell out of love. I'm sorry, I know you liked him." she braced herself for Nell's attack or questions.

"Well, if you weren't happy with him, then it's good you broke it off. I heard some yelling out here and some cursing. I hope that boy wasn't cursing at my favorite niece or there will be hell to pay." Nell said only half joking.

Lana smiled and hugged her aunt. "You are the best aunt a girl could ask for." she said truthfully. When the hug ended and grabbed her coat. "I'll be back in a few hours." she told her aunt, slipping on her shoes and coat.

"Where are you off to?" Nell asked watching her niece check her appearance in the small oval mirror that hung next to the coat rack. "Already got some hot date set up?" she teased.

She smiled secretively. "Not yet." she said mysteriously before slipping out the door and heading straight for Clark's loft. Her heart was pitter pattering as she got closer to his farm. She couldn't wait to see him. She was single and free and was in no hurry to reconcile with Whitney. She had her heart set on a certain hunky raven haired farmboy.

When she reached the gate that lead into the yard where the barn was, she looked up at the opening in the loft. When she saw a light flickering and knew he was up there. Smiling like a little girl on Christmas morning she hurried into the barn and up the steps that lead into the loft. She spotted him looking through his telescope at the stars. "Clark." she said to get his attention.

He perked up and looked in her direction. "Hey Lana." he said with one of his famous Clark smiles that always had that desirable tingly effect on her. "Whats up?" he asked, moving toward her.

Lana licked her lips and resisted the urge to just jump him. "Nothing too exciting. I broke up with Whitney," she told him, smiling when she saw his eyes light up even more, "I just couldn't stay with him anymore." she took off her jacket and drapped over the railing that lined the edge of the loft, then she walked to the telescope.

Clark watched her, his heart fluttering at the sight of her skin glowing in the candle light. "Why couldn't you stay with him anymore?" he asked walking up beside her, watching her look through the telescope at the star he had focused it at.

She straighted up and looked at him. "My feelings are elsewhere and I thought it was unfair to him. He should have someone who really loves him." she said, openly letting her eyes take in his droolworthy physique and strickingly hansome face.

"Your feelings are elsewhere?" he questioned, his heart beating double time as he scarcely dared to hope that she meant him. He could see that her eyes were slowly undressing him and that was a very good sign.

"Yeah." she replied, stepping closer to him smiling as his nervousness caused him to tense. "Sometimes people don't see what's right in front of them. I didn't see for a while, but Whitney said something to me tonight that opened my eyes." she told him.

"Really?" Clark managed to say as her proximity was causing him to feel lightheaded and inarticulate. She was so close that he was feel the warmth radiating off her body. He licked his suddenly dry lips.

She smiled and took his hands, pulling them around her so his arms encircling her waist. "Yeah. He accused me of being in love with you." she told him, reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck. "I didn't argue because I know it's true, Clark. I guess I never noticed it before." she confessed, pressing her body against his without thinking.

Clark was silent for a beat when spoke, "Am I dreaming?" he asked her, he wasn't expecting an answer, but he felt he should ask that before he got too into this. She giggled and he felt himself melting at the sound.

"Nope, this is real, Clark. I'm real and I'm telling you that I'm in love with you." she told him, there was no holding back now. She wanted him and there was no question in her mind about it.

He closed his eyes and savored those words he had dreamed a thousand times coming out of her mouth. When he opened his eyes again she was still there. Tightening his arms around her he said, "You have no idea how..." he paused then continued, "much I love you." he told her.

Her smile widened. "Good." she said, then lifted herself to her tippy toes and kissed him fully on the lips. She could feel happiness flood her being as she felt him kiss her back. His lips were so soft and they rubbed against hers so perfectly, damn, this guy knew how to kiss. She let out a little moan when she felt her feet leave the floor. She felt as though she were flying then. She giggled against his lips when she was sat on the table that was set up in his loft. She remembered seeing candles set up on this table. She broke the kiss and was pleasantly surprised when he moved to kiss her neck. "Clark?" she said.

"Hmm?" came his answer as his mouth was doing wonderful things to the sensitive skin of her neck. He hoped it wasn't something important because he knew he wouldn't be able to care if it was.

She let out a high pitch moan when she felt his teeth nibble at the skin just below her ear. Not even Whitney knew about that special spot. "Oh...nevermind." she breathed, scooting closer to him, slipping her hands under his shirt to run over the smooth muscles she knew were there. If she had known that he was this good at making out, she would have broken up with Whitney a long time ago.

He smiled against her neck then lifted his head to kiss her lips. He held her head with one hand as he kissed her deeply. When she opened her mouth he took advantage and slid his tongue past her teeth to rub against her tongue. He was surprised at his own behavior but he couldn't help it. She was everything he ever dreamed she would be. He groaned as he became arroused by her hot little hands under his shirt.

She was so caught up in the kiss and her task of exploring his hard torso that she didn't notice that he had removed his shirt and it was now on the floor. All she knew was he was naked from the waist up now. It seemed like every little thing was turning her on even more. His lips, his tongue, his body, his hands, his scent, everything. She moaned and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling herself against him, hard. She so was surprised at her wanton behavior, it was like she had been struck my the love/lust bug and this bug was not stopping at just kisses.

He had no control over his fingers as they undid her blouse. When all the buttons were undone his hand slipped inside and around to caress her bare back. He couldn't help but smile when she quickly shucked off her shirt and added it to the pile forming on the floor. She broke the kiss because of her need for oxygen and pressed her forhead to his. "How far are you going with this?" she asked him, her hands caressing his shoulder blades, feeling the rippling muscles that resided there under his soft, smooth, kissable skin.

He forced himself out of the haze that had fogged his brain and registered her question. "I don't know." he replied, realizing their current shirtless state. "I think we got a little carried away." he said, chuckling.

She giggled, her face blushing as she slid her hands down his strong arms to rest just above his elbows. "I think we should cool it before we get caught." she said, feeling like a little girl who just got away with stealing a chocolate chip cookie.

"Yeah." he agreed but made no move to back away from her. His hands slowly moved down to the skin just above the waistband of her sweatpants. He wanted to continue this little make out session, but he knew she wasn't ready for it to go any further.

A breeze blew in from outside and she shivered, snuggling closer to him for warmth. She giggled when he held onto her with one hand while the other picked up her shirt. She hung onto his neck and waist like a monkey as he helped her get her shirt back on without having to separate from him. She finally got him, she wasn't gonna let him go now. When the shirt was finally on she knew there was no real excuse to remain attached to him so she removed her legs from around his waist and he set her on her feet. "Well," she said, placing both hands on his chest, "what do you wanna do?" she asked him.

"Clark!? You still up there?" his dad called from the entrance of the barn.

Clark groaned in disappointment and called back. "yeah I'm still up here." then he reluctantly moved out of her warm embrace and put his shirt back on.

"Your mother and I are going to bed. I think it's time for you to call it a night." Johnathan told his son loud enough so he would hear.

"Ok, dad. Just give me a few minutes." Clark replied then heard his dad leave and go back up to the house. "I'm sorry, my parents are really strict about me getting enough sleep." Clark told Lana, taking her into his arms, relishing the fact that he could do that without her being angry.

She sighed. "Yeah, Nell is too. That's why I should be getting back home and into bed." she said turning to get her coat and putting it on.

"I'll walk you home." he offered, designing his tone of voice to let her know he wasn't taking no for an answer. He knew his parents would understand.

She smiled, good old reliable and protective Clark Kent. "Okay." she agreed. Then they both walked out of the barn and towards Lana's house, hand in hand.

Together, finally.
