Addendum

Standard of conduct, adapted from the Sports Club Handbook on alochol and/or drug use during sport club events:

1. Alcohol use at sport club events, home or away, is prohibited.
2. The use or distribution of drugs, except those prescribed by a physician for medical purposes is prohibited at sports clubs sponsored events.

Estimated Expenditures for Competition Squad:
Shoes $50-60
Competitions (hopefully fundraising will cover)
Travel (gas, food, lodging)
Dues $25 /month

There is no assurance that fundraising will cover all your competition and travel expenses. The chances are more likely that it won't. You will be responsible for any extra cost.

For
every competition you will be required to travel with the team.  If you are riding with your parents, they must meet at the decided  location and depart when the rest of the team departs.  You are also required to stay in the same hotel as the rest of the team for every overnight competition which we attend.  You must also stay in your assigned room with the other members of the team for every overnight competition.

You agree to schedule your classes around practice times (i.e. no classes/labs on Tuesday or Thursday evenings).

Attendance:
1. It is mandatory that you attend every practice; everyone needs to be there in order for us to work on a competition routine.
2.
Tardiness: If you are late to practice, your punishment will be decided accordingly by the officers and coaches..
3.
Absences: If you have more than 3 unexcused absences during a semester, you will be brought before a review board consisting of the competition squad executive committee, which will decide on expulsion or an appropriate punishment.  If you have more then 3 unexcused absences, you will be required to pay extra dues as part of your punishment.
4.
Competitions: In addition to practices, all team members are required to attend all competitions that the squad participates in. If you are unable to attend a competition, you must notify an executive committee member before we register for that particular competition. If you fail to notify one of the members before this time you will be required to pay the registration fee regardless of whether or not you attend.
5.
Nationals:  Twenty team members and two alternate members will be chosen to attend the NCA Nationals in Daytona, Florida. Those who are chosen will be REQUIRED to attend the 5 day event which involves missing 3 days of classes. If you are chosen to compete (1) you must  inform the executive committee members by January 15, 2006 if you are unable to attend and (2) you must have a valid reason for not attending. If you do not comply with both (1) and (2) you will still be required to pay the registration fee and travelling costs for someone to attend in your place.

Excused absences
are death of a family member, severe illness, and family emergencies.  If you are sick, you are still required to be at practice, but you will be allowed to sit and watch.  This is to ensure that you do not miss any material that is taught during practice.

*Study groups, studying for a test, and review sessions are
NOT excused
**If you know ahead of time that you are going to be absent, let an officer and the coach know ASAP.  You will receive a calendar containing the practice schedule for 3 months at a time so you will have plenty of time to plan around practices and competitions.

NOT
E:  Before you try out for the team, any outstanding fees must be paid in full.  If these fees are not paid, you will not be permitted to try out for club cheerleading.
