Japanese Club
The Japanese Club is one of the newest clubs @ ZU. Many students are interested in learning about the Japanese culture. This club has about 33 members. They meet once weekly Wednesday. The advisor of this club is Dr. Faouzi Bouslama.
This club is famous for many interesting activities such as:

Ikebana: an old kind of arts that evolved in Japan over seven centuries. It is arranging cut stems, leaves and flowers in special vases.

Origami: creating shape such as animals or plants with square papers.
Bonsai: controling the plants growth, which make it more beautiful than plants are in the wild.

The clubs’ objectives are:

· To compliment the in-class academic learning by giving students opportunities for real world applications.
· To provide structured social outlets.
· To offer students an opportunity to build leadership skills.
· To give students a chance to challenge themselves in new areas of interest.
· To build workforce skills that can enhance a student’s professional development.
