1) This babysitting activity group is set up as a co-op, with mothers trading hours of babysitting for points. Members agree that no money will be changing hands for babysitting services.
2) Only MOMS Club® members may sign up to participate and only members signed up with the co-op may participate.
3) Members agree to only baby-sit once per week or no more than 2 hours per day as governed by the Pinellas County rules of childcare.
4) A member's child may not be permitted to participate if they have a contagious condition, they are vomiting or have diarrhea or if they have had a temperature above 100 degrees within the proceeding 24 hours of scheduled child care.
5) Every member's house used for babysitting must be baby-proofed, even if the children they will be watching are not babies.
6) ALL children MUST have an emergency medical treatment authorization on file at the local hospital (if the hospital offers this program). Also, an emergency medical authorization for each child must be filled out by the mother and left with the baby-sitter each time.
7) All members are responsible for providing the baby-sitter with any food or snacks, bottles, diapers, wipes, car seats or comfort items their child may require while in her care.
8) There shall be no "group babysitting" in which one mother baby-sits for more than one other mother at a time.
9) All babysitting must be 100% adult supervised in the same room by a MOMS Club® member in the co-op.
10) If you would like to give permission for the baby-sitter to take your child to the park, library, grocery store or another location, you will need to place your authorization in writing and give to the baby-sitter each time. The baby-sitter is responsible for having current automobile insurance which is required by state law.
11) If someone other than the child's mother will be picking up the child from the baby-sitter, an authorization must be placed in writing and the baby-sitter is responsible for checking identification of persons unknown to them prior to releasing the child.
12) All the arrangements through the coop are voluntary- no mother has to use any particular babysitter and no mother has to baby-sit for any particular mother/child. No reasons for declining to use a particular sitter or for refusing to sit for a particular member are required. All decisions concerning the safety or appropriateness of any situation rests with the mothers involved.
