National Pony Express ride campaigns have raised over $2,000,000 for the fight against breast cancer. In 2007, the Pony Express Ride will be based out of Dobbins, CA at the Lake Frances RV Resort . | While I was the only participant from the Idaho Gems to ride to Missouri, there were 7 ladies from the Gold Country Riders chapter of the Sacramento, CA area. Additionally, my hubby and support member, Clyde, led the ride and he was joined by his high school buddy, Ray, a newbie. Laura and C, WOW members from Washington state, joined us in Cody, WY after a beautiful ride through Yellowstone NP. The Springfield area was very pretty and abundant with great local motorcycle roads which offered the chance to hit several other states in one day in spite of the flooding being experienced in that area of the country summer 2007. |

| The Dream Riders - many also WoW members - an internet group formed from participation in Rosemary Carstens book (see link above left) - rode to Springfield to visit members first met in West Virginia in July 2004. |
| Another internet group of motorcycling women who came together for the first time in 1999 as the West Coast Gathering of the Off the Wall Gang from an old web site called "Ridin' the Wind". My original support group, these ladies ranged from Southern California to the tip of Washington and we meet once a year. |
| Gathered in Hood River, Oregon, 2008, for a long weekend, we generally do a day ride on Saturday. In the evening we meet to enjoy dinner together, exchange stories and gifts. |

| This year's big motorcycle trip was the ride with DDeb of Albany, OR, to the AMA International Women in Motorcycling Conference in Keystone, Colorado, for 4 days of seminars, demos, activites, events, and lots of vendors geared toward women motorcylclists--BIKES EVERYWHERE! Over 1000 in attendance. Beautiful location! |
