ngs and we did it with the help of God, so we have come to a sincere repentance of our sins. Therefore, our relationship got to the most beautiful moment ever. We have full love and respect to the word of God, and we are now sure that we really love each
ther as God commands. We have complete respect and confidence in each other, and we had a sincere desire of getting married. However, a problem arose when our minister examined our lives in order to determine as to whether we had left our sins or not. Thi
minister determined that dating is not good according to the word of God, due to the fact that there is jeopardy of being hurt if love is not true, and he said that if one person has not been saved by God, its feelings cannot be true neither. Therefore,
e stated that we were in sin, due to the fact that if we had feelings for each other otside the marriage liberty, it was a sin, so, there could be just to ways to follow up to correct this situation: to get married or to get the relationship finished. As
was sure that I was now really keeping God first, I proposed my friend to get married, but she expressed me that the minister's words led her to an strange situation. He said that if she (or me) keeps this relationship alive, we are in sin, so we have no
reached Jesus' salvation, and our marriage could not be blessed fro that reason. Therefore, he said that the best action to take, was to finished the relationship and to walk to God's salvation. Later, if it were God's will, he would get us together agai
. The illogical point I see, is that he is requiring us to completely get rid of the feelings we have for each other, because if we keep them we will be in sin, as we are not married, but if our choise is to take them apart, how will it be possible that t
e love we have for each other survive?
I have sincerely studied the Bible from the beggining to the end, not trying to support my point of view, but trying to find the truth, and I do not see any part of it in which God commands something like the things said by the minister.
However, my friend is feeling that she is not giving compliance to the word of God if she loves me, but then again, she sincerely accepts she loves me. The point is that the minister is basing its argument in Matthew 10: 37-39 and some other verses, in or
er to let us know, that if we want to get married instead of finishing the relationship, we are not keeping God first. Is it true? I have read most of your web page and I really found truth in it (I read a lot of information before and I was not feeling I

I reconciled, but the scars persist. My bitterness and the volatility of the injustices including medical maltreatment that almost killed our 2 year old boy all led to fights, and I even slapped my wife on the thigh and back. Though I did not punch her
or beat her, she was in her first marriage; I should have been sensitive to that, but was blinded by my own pain and bitterness... God healed me of that to forgive. My wife later forgave me, but lives in Europe. Pray for our physical and emotional reuio

I became a Christian eleven years ago and have a question: is it really essential that I date ane marry only born-again Christian men? I want to be married really bad but unfortunately, most "saved" men I have met only want sorority girls (when I was in
college I couldn't get into a sorority). I'm attractive and very pleasant; secular men accept me for who I am but I can't say the same for saved men. I'll be 32 next month and it looks like I'll have to marry someone who is not a believer if I want marr
