Puslinch Ice Fly
Feb. 26, 2005

It was a cold and windy day. A few inches of snow covered the ice. This was a day only a penguin could truly enjoy!
Ed Hummel, Kerry St Dennis, Lucy Jonkman, daughter Jessica, Vaino Raun and Dennis Ische all going in different directions! What should I fly and how can I stay warm seemed to be the two most common questions of the day.
Don Browridge prepares to take off in flight! Grant Fritz and Doug Ballentine from Port Dover look on.
Don was going so fast I am really surprised this photo does not appear more blurry. My camera was set to the fastest shutter speed so that it only appears that Don was stationary :-)
Ziggy Racek test flys a brand new vented stunt kite.
Jim Everding is testing out the new Peter Lynn Venom brought for demo. Doug Ballentine is in the background.
Doug Ballentine again flying a Best inflatable. Best is the brand name and the designers last name is of course also Best.
Dennis, Kerry, Ed, and Don sharing a few laughs and jumping on the spot. Trying to stay warm proved difficult for many! Good thing kite flyers are so tough!
Mark Groshens, Grant Fritz and Dave Addison discuss flying and Casinos. I know you can't see Grant's or Dave's face very clearly but it really was them!
Ziggy sits in his icebuggy while flying his Jojo traction kite
Dennis are looking for a prize? Everyone got a free fun prize and there were a few twists including "steal a prize". Lot's of fun with approx 28 people staying for the dinner and the fun.

Final Note: Mark Groshens mentioned that he picked up a few more of the squirrel flying a kite wind chimes for those people who asked about them - cost $4.00 each. email Mark (windspeedkites@sympatico.ca)
