Comments
Kevin Flynn Liberal none     I am writing to respond to the survey sent to Kevin Flynn, provincial Liberal candidate in the Oakville riding.

Although there is no specific election platform policy on this topic, I have some answers to the COAR survey.

First of all, Mr. Flynn has no personal connection with adoption.

With regards to opening records for Adult Adoptees, Mr. Flynn would concur with the comments of Mr. McGuinty sent to you in his letter of September 10:

"I believe that in the majority of cases both adult adoptees and birth parents who have given their children up fo radoption should be allowed access to their records. In my view, it is a question of human rights.".

I am not clear as to whether these comments indicate support for a disclosure veto, and have not been able to obtain further information on this particular point, for which I apoligize.

Thank you very much for bringing this important issue to our attention. If you have any further questions or information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

David deBelle
