Harm held Renee close as they danced across the floor, Harm really wasn't in the mood after seeing Brumby show up, but kept his stoic front locked in place. He was about to suggest that they get something to drink when the next song started and Renee pulled him tighter as Garth Brooks voice came from the speaker.

At that time his gaze connected with Mac's across the dance floor as Trisha Yearwood's voice took over the song.

Harm and Mac's gazes looked to their dance partners at the same time the melding of Garth and Trisha's voices.

Harm twirled Renee around so that he could find Mac again as the second verse of the song went on with Garth.

Mac felt the tears in her eyes, as Harm felt his heart beak even more as the song went on in Trisha's voice.

As the song returned to two voices, Harm and Mac broke eye contact and again looked into their dance partners faces. Hoping that they didn't see beneath the wall of pain.

Harm smiled a fake front as he led Renee off the floor. She gave him one back as she followed his gaze to Mac as she gave Mic a reason to flee to the powder room. As she walked by Harm and Renee, she looked into his eyes. They both connected in the brief moment and in each other's eyes passed on the resignation they felt.
