Temperament
Peek-a-poos are friendly, protective and affectionate with their family, but wary of strangers. They like to bark. This breed is very intelligent and usually gets along well with other dogs and cats. They are good with children if they are raised with them form puppyhood.

Living Conditions
Peek-a-poos are good for apartment life. They are fairly active indoors and will do okay without a yard.
Exercise
The Peek-a-poo is an active dog that will enjoy walks or a romp in a safe open space.

Grooming
The coat should be combed and brushed occasionally. If the coat is kept long it should be brushed a little more often to prevent matting. Some prefer to clip the coat in the summer months. This breed is an average shedder.
Origin
In North America, small poodles are frequently crossed with other breeds. The Peek-a-poo is a cross between the Pekingese and the Miniature Poodle. It is not a recognized breed but a cross between two pure bred dogs.
