It's interesting to see the actions of certain people and the ideas they come up with. I am one of those people who believes that more people should have gardens rather than acres of grass. This point of view was introduced to me by someone I know. He maintains that people are proving their mindlessness by maintaining a senseless weed. To celebrate their ingenuity, they force themselves out-of-doors once a week to cut it down and prevent it from growing more dominant weeds. What the hell is the point? I think he has a point... while gardens are a little harder to maintain, they're prettier, and I think evoke more emotion than a lawn. Unless you're a golfer. But whatever. |
Then I was coming to Vancouver, and was further reminded of people's moronic intentions. Someone had actually taken the time, effort and money to strip their original grass lawn bare, pack the dirt down, and then pay MORE money to put in sod. I don't get it! Why would you spend money to take out the grass you had already, and put in different grass? That makes no sense! Why wouldn't you spend your money on a nice flower garden instead? Oh well... that's life. I just thought I would share this train of thought with you, just because I can. I hope your days are well, and that you are enjoying life to the fullest. |
