Intrepid Travel
If you thought that Aussies could drink any other nation under the table, think again! Ranked 3rd in the world for beer consumption per capita (behind the Czech Republic and Belgium), the Irish pub culture is alive and kicking (and believe me, I can vouch for that!) And although it's been a great way of meeting people, it's been hard staying at hostels around Ireland because you're somewhat obliged to go out with new-found friends for a drink at the pub...if not to socialise, then to drink away the sorrowful weather! And Guinness does taste better here... nice and fresh from the brewery (which I have visited a couple of times now).

It really is crazy, the travellers you meet when you're on the lookout. I've met soooo many people that live really close to me in Sydney it isn't funny! People who went to neighboring schools, people who live around the corner, people who went to the same places I used to go to back home...It really is a small world! Take Steve Guy for example (pictured right) He was Alyssa's workmate at Pittwater Council for gods sake! Crazy!

But overall, the people have been fantastic. You won't find a friendlier bunch of people anywhere. And if that isn't reason enough for you to visit Ireland, the countryside is awesome!   I'm havin' a Craic!

You guys are friggin' crazy! The 3 days up north  I had after our trip wasn't the same at all, too many people, too little time. The South rocked, thanks to Leprechaun-Joe! Good Luck dudes!
