aaliyah was such an beautiful person. not only did she have an angelic voice and an upcoming movie career, but she was just a caring person. aaliah was killed in a plane crash on august 25, 2001 while on her way home from the bahamas, filming a video. it was said that there was too much luggage on the plane. also, the autopsy on the pilot showed he had traces of cocaine and alcohol in his body. the video she was shooting was "rock the boat" and if you watch the video, it seems very angelic and beautiful. at the end of the video, she swims up to the surface of the ocean and it fades to white; kinda symbolic... she's deeply missed.
