Post Op Journal,
               Let the Journey Begin...

November 27, 2002 - (Wednesday) - GOBBLE - GOBBLE - GOBBLE!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!!  All is well here, weight still holding at down 120 but I'm happy.  I still want to lose at least 20 pounds so I hope the weight begins to move soon, but I have to be patient.  I still find it amazing that I'm in size 14's, wearing Medium sweaters and they are getting big!!  Overall 2002 has been a fantastic year, full of good cheer and opportunity to give my life the jump start it definitely needed (or more appropriate was dying for (no joke)).  I'm walking daily, work is OK and life is fine.  Obviously, I don't live in a glass bubble of only merriment and joy, but all things being equal, life could be much worse and I'm blessed that I'm doing so well and that I'm surrounded by loving compassionate people.  For all that, I'm extremely thankful this and every year!

I will be travelling next week on business to VA and then a quick trip to FL and then returning on 12/9.  Ugh, Christmas is right around the corner.  I can't believe that in a few weeks I'll be one year post-op.  Time sure does fly when you are having fun!!!  Nothing really new here.  It snowed this morning...makes it look like January outside.  Ugh, I'm not ready for snow yet.

We might go to the shore this weekend to see if anything is new at the house.  Not sure if they have started the framing for the addition but if they did, I'll take a picture and post it here.  It's really fun all the planning, can't wait for it to be completed and we can start going there on weekends.  Right now all we're hoping for is for it to be done by June!!!

Oh well, have a Happy Thanksgiving, enjoy your turkey and family and friends, let's remember all the things we have to be thankful for.  I'm certainly happy about the year I just had and the thin years ahead...oh well,
till next time..

December 1, 2002 - (Sunday)
Had a really nice weekend!  Thanksgiving was really nice, turkey and all the trimmings were great.  We did, however, cook our turkey upside down...but everything tasted great, regardless.  *lol*  Went to the beach yesterday to check on the house and see the progress.  See the below picture.

The snap gets a little blurry when minimized to fit here on the web page, but that slab is the garage and that "L" shape is a little hallway, washer/dryer area and a new bedroom/bathroom.  The whole interior of the house is getting gutted also, so there is a lot of work still to come.  It was nice to see the ground dry (even though it did start to rain while we were there...but nice to see some progress).

I'm travelling tomorrow to VA for business.  Ugh, all week there and having to combat all the Northern VA traffic.  I thought NJ was terrible with traffic, but I doubt we are as bad as VA.  Then I'm flying to FL for the weekend and returning on Monday 12/9.  I have a lot of shopping to still do and decorations to put up, etc. etc.  The holidays are fast approaching.  So nice to be up and moving, unlike last year.  I was so fat and unhappy...couldn't wait for my new life to begin.  I was getting ready for surgery last year, in fact, this upcoming week was my last week at work -- boy was I excited!!

I'm amazingly down 1 pound (can ya believe that, a Thanksgiving weekend and I've lost a pound??!!!) that makes me very happy.  Hope I drop a few before my 12 month anniversary on the 11th.  I will write again next week for that anniversary and update with a 12 month snap shot.  Boy what a fabulous year it has been...wouldn't change a thing!!!!
Till next time all... :)
