PSAT, SAT, AND MORE...
These are very, very important tests that you should be aware of!!! The four tests that are taken to help prepare and get into college are the PSAT/NMSQT, SAT I, SAT II, and the ACT.

PSAT

The PSAT/MMSQT is the preliminary scholastic assessment test/National Merit Scholarship Qulifying Test. This multiplue choice test measures developed reading, critical thinking, problem-solving, and writing skills. It serves to predict students' scores on the SAT. This test can be taken in 8th grade-11th grade.

SAT I

The SAT I is the scholastic assessment test. This reasoning test measures verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities important to successful performance in college. The SAT I is a 3 hour test composed of 3 verbal sections, 3 math sections, and one "equating section". This test is usually taken at the end of your Junior year and once again in the Fall of your Senior year. You can register for the SAT at Collegeboard.com.

SAT II

SAT II: Subject tests that measure a students knowledge or skills in a particular area of study and the ability to apply that knowledge. Each subject test is one hour long. A student may take up to three different subject test during a single test administration.

ACT

The ACT is the American College Testing Program. This test includes four curriculum-based tests that measure students' educational develpment in English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. Many schools accept both the SAT and the ACT. You can registar for the ACT at act.org.
