Journeys of a Catholic Witch:
Remarks and Observations Board

"I am a 15 year old girl who has been practicing the craft for a year or so. My name is Jeanann.I have learned that On December 8,1985 Witchcraft became noticed as an offical religion of the United States, and I beleave that we should try and make this religion noticed through out the United States. We should make Wicca temples, and Wicca churches so the public can see that witchcraft is not part of santinsm. Wiccans can be "Jewish","Cathlic",Islam, ect... . But I think you should all now what I mean. If anyone would like to e-mail me you can at galaxy96@sprintmail.com."

"Hello to all who are reading this! I am known as Hannah. I am 16 years old , Catholic, and have been interested in different religions for quite awhile. This type of practice is very interesting to me. I have tried different things with it, but I always have a fear in the back of my mind that I am betraying God, Church, etc. I have been trying to sort out my beliefs from others and trying to rid myself of fears and prejudices. I really appreciate this Website-it gave me a lot of info and helped me feel less fearful. The internet in general has given me a lot of freedom to explore different techniques without getting in trouble. Thanx!"

"I am also Catholic and I have long had interest in Craft. I have read your lessons and tried candle manipulation and making energy balls. However, my main interest is Shapeshifting. I would like to know how to enter the mind of another animal ("Hitch a ride" as you put it). I have read the discussion on it but I have been unable to apply this to myself. Would you (Markus) please write back with this information. Elizabeth"

"I really am into withcraft but be careful with it in school my friends and i almost got suspended. i also have love spells and all other kinds of spells=("

"i really would like any info on witchcraft, anyone e-mail me at hullaballoo@rocketmail.com"

"hello, id love to know what attracted you people to the whole withcraft scene, i myself am a christian and have no interest in consorting with satan but I'd like to know who introduced you to this. I will be praying for you all and all the people who go to this webpage please e-mail me love letita"

You haven't done your homework letita, the site is here for its information, not to convert people. Perhaps you should take a look around and take another step to enlightenment.

"Hello, I too am a Catholic. A young one, a mere 15 years old, but am very interested in the Craft, and have been since early this year (Around January '97) and have been reading up on it. I am facing some of the same problems as Shelle. I am trying to overcome the propoganda pounded into my head over and over again by my church and mother. I had tried Witchcraft once before, and I prayed to your God and Goddess, and just do not feel comfortable with it. It just feels like I'm betraying God and the usual stuff Christian converts go through, I suppose. Anyway, I asked quite a few people about blending it, and the response I kept receiving was, "No...Wicca is a religion and so is Christianity. You must choose." Also, I'm a little afraid to try all of this because of the verse in the Bible that says something along the lines of: "Witchcraft is an abomination to the Lord," and I still can't get rid of the fear of burning in hell, even though I'm not so sure I believe in it. Sorry I made this so long, it's just I have a lot to say and I have no one to tlak to about it. Just about everyone here is Christian (I live in northern Florida) and my mother is a Catholic and I know she would flip if she knew I was into this. That's why all I have is the 'net as a resourse. I can't buy books or experiment because of fear that I'll be caught. Thank you and good luck to all!"

"Most interesting site, gave me a lot of information that I did not already know. I hope to find more information in the future."

"Merry meet! My name is Akili Ara and I, like Shelle, was raised Catholic. I have been involed with Wicca for 1 year now, and I have felt many of the same things as Shelle was. One thing which was extremely hard for me to deal with was the thought that magick was evil, and once I got past that things have been much easier. I was educated by reading many books, including To ride a silver broomstick, to stir a magick cauldron, buckland's complete book of witchcraft, and Earth Magick, and Celtic myth and magick. I have asked myself many of the same questions as Shelle, and i have come to believe that my beliefs are going to be exactly what I make them and will continue to grow and change to custom fit to my own being. Thankyou for bringing validity to my own system of beliefs, and I wish Shelle the best of luck on her journey.
Blessed be,
Akili"
