Tragedy at Bluff Cove
Slide 38 of 44
An attempt was made to bring the Welsh Guards around the island by the supply ships Sir Galahad and Sir Tristin. Unfortunately the Argentinian air force spotted them and severely damaged the two assault ships, killing 53 British and wounding many more. The Welsh guards were successfully knocked out of battle as all their kit was on the ferry.
