F O C U S

I'm here to tell you why FOCUS is a great thing to be involved with. It is affiliated with AFES, which is the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students. Focus teaches students how to play 500, killer Uno, etc., survive Uni and most importantly about God.

One of the most recent happenings was Bustrip in January -20 odd uni students from AFES groups around Perth went to a conference on a bus. Here we learnt advanced water pistol techniques, keeping drivers awake at 3.00am, dance moves appropriate for use in the water fountains of Melbourne and Adelaide, and in depth Bibleology, and even survived.

Why did I stick around FOCUS so long? I found learning about God and his purposes for me interesting and encouraging. Also, you meet tons of other uni students from around Perth. Girls- its a great place to meet guys. Guys-vice versa. This is so much so that some have named it the Australian Fellowship of Eligible/Engaged Students.

Anyway, FOCUS is good, be involved. It's possible to be a Christian at uni without FOCUS, but it's alot more fun when you're involved with us, and you're far more likely to grow.

Love Katrina
