Jon's 1998 Student Village Memories

In 1998 I got a job as a residential assistant (RA) at Student Village for the first semester, and moved to Unit 16. The main people here
were Jaime from USA (Leisure Science) Shannon (Hospitality), Inderpul from Kenya (Computer Science), and initially Jock (Engineering and Computer Science?). Danielle from Mauritus (Business) was there early on. (A friend of Danielle's I got to know well from 1996 on, was Jenni (see photo on the 1997 page) from South Africa,
who graduated with a degree in Children's Studies. I went to her 21st B'day in 1996.)
We also had a brief 2 week visit from two Singaporean's; Angie and Rebecca (Childrens Studies).

As you can see there was a few surfers at Student Village in 1998...especially in Unit 10...
One of my roommates' was Jaime from California. I went to her 21st Birthday, and we had some good discussions...
She was a really good friend to me when I tore ligaments in my ankle playing volleyball on the 26th May....
Her friend Alisha from Missouri who was in Unit 10, gave me her crutches...
