RIALTO TOWERS, MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA.

Rialto Towers is the *largest* office building in the southern hemisphere, and is 253m high.
CN Tower in Canada Toronto is 553m, Empire State building in USA is 443m, Tokyo Tower in Japan is 333m, Seoul Tower in South Korea is 237m.

Below are some of the photos I took from the Rialto Tower on December 11 1999;

The view over the Yarra River towards the MCG National Tennis Centre etc etc.

Looking out over South Eastern Melbourne towards Albert Park Lake, and Port Philip Bay near St Kilda, where I stayed while I was in Melbourne.

The new 'Docklands' or Colonial stadium recently built for the AFL.

Display case for Rialto Tower runup (stairclimb). WA Athlete Sue Malaxos won this race, and went on to represent Australia in the Marathon at the Olympics.
I got to run the Central Park Tower Stairclimb in Perth in 2001, and 2002, which includes 1236 steps,54 flights of stairs, a lot of concrete dust, and an awesome view of Perth, before a trip down in a lift crammed up like sardines with other sweaty runners.

Start line at 2002 Central Park Tower Stair Climb. See here.... I went on to run a sub 4 hour Marathon in the Perth Marathon on July 11th, 2004. See my Marathon BLOG
Central Park's "spire" is 249m high which is the highest point in Perth, and the 140th highest building point in the world according to this BLOG, which also lists the roof height of the Central Park Tower as 226m and the Rialto Tower as 251m. More stats from "the rhyme of Sim' " Blog below;
