The Arizona Class 3A State Tournament was held on May 9 at the Peoria Sports Complex.The semi-finals were continued on May 15, 1998 between Chino Valley and Globe, and Cactus Shadows and Blue Ridge.The finals were held on May 16, between Chino Valley and Cactus Shadows.Cactus Shadows came up with the win and state title. Again, Chino Valley's hopes of winning a state title were ended in the championship game.

2. Chino Valley- STATE RUNNER-UP

3. Globe- FINAL FOUR

4. Lakeside Blue Ridge- FINAL FOUR
