The Junior Olympic Archery Development program has a range located on the east side of the road; there are classes held on Saturdays weather permitting. The JOAD's have equipment for people to shoot during classes. This program has different levels of shooting and JOAD shoot in meters.
Membership dues are: $45.00 for family membership; $35.00 for single membership. Expires one year from last day of the month you join. This lets you use the range at your convenience except when a tournament is being held. You will receive the combination and a membership card to the gate lock when you join. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Range Location is: From the intersection of 63rd South and K-15 Hwy, go west approximately 1 1/2 miles to Grove St. (Grove is the first street west after crossing the Arkansas River); turn south on Grove and follow the road to Cider; then turn left and go southeast on Cider and it will turn into 71st St. S.; stay on 71st until it appears to dead end; turn south and go through the pipe gate and follow the trail to the parking lot.
From the intersection of 63rd and Hydraulic, go east on 63rd to Grove (approx. 1/2 mile); turn south on Grove and follow above instructions.
Club meeting held quarterly. Work party is held the Saturday before the 3D shoot on Sunday. Time 9:00 AM till the work is done. If you are a WAI member and come out at 9:00 AM and work at least two hours, then you can shoot for free after the work is done or else on Sunday.
