Welcome! I have devoted this page to my wrestling team. We are the Central Lions, a AAA school in Carrollton, GA. Our team has come a long way in the past three years. It has taken a lot of blood, sweat, and tears but we have made a strong wrestling program. Our Coach, Mike Mason, has brought us from next to nothing to being one of the best teams in our Area. Come out and see us wrestle. You won't be dissapointed.

The Last Dance Ends

It's all over now. We ended on a great note though. The team finished eighth overall out of 69 teams. Compared to our ranking of 38th last year that's a pretty big improvement! Michael Casteel placed sixth because of a sickness. His parents withdrew him from the tournament. Stuart Shoemaker placed fourth ending a phenomenal season for himself! Nick D'alessandro came in with a third place victory, defeating a kid from Murray Co. that had beaten him three times before. Finally, Russell Williams at 160 was the state runner up! He lost a well fought match 12-11. Russell is the second in our school's history to ever go to the finals. Also, congrats to Ryan Owens of Alexander for his state championship win.

It's been a great year for all of us I'm just sorry to see it go. It was my final season along with four of my best friends- Bar, Stuart, Russell, and Jeremy. If any of you came out to support us this year or just support this sport in general. I thank you!

Area Is This Saturday!

Come out this Saturday to watch us compete in our Area tournament. We are hosting it this year in the new gym. It begins at 10:00 a.m. and finals are at 7:00 p.m. Among the teams to be there is Alexander. We suffered one of our two losses to Alexander earlier in the season, but we later beat them in the Northwest Metro Tournament. It should be tight competition. We hope to match our feat of qualifying all of our varsity for state again this year. Many of our wrestlers are seated first in our weight classes, including myself at 140, Michael Casteel at 103, Nick D'alessandro at 152, Russell Williams at 160, and T.J. Treadwell at 189. It should be a great tournament and I hope to see you there!
