BAYSIDE competes in Athletics Victoria's State League competition. Drawing athletes from a number of clubs in south east Melbourne (see the icons to the left), Bayside fields both men's and women's teams featuring many of Victoria's most exciting young and upcoming athletes. We are committed to creating the best possible environment for athletes to compete and have FUN. This webpage was established as part of that strategy and has helped us to promote a great sport and a great team. It is a means by which we announce team lineups and results, and also a forum for discussion of all topics athletics-related.

WHAT'S NEW?
2004 PREMIERS!! The Bayside women have scored a hat-trick of State League titles by taking out the 2003-4 premiership. The men performed extremely well also to secure 3rd spot. See some photos from the big night here.
BAYSIDE GOES TO CHIBA A very large contingent of Baysiders were selected to represent Australia at the Ekiden Relays in Chiba, Jpan in November. Kate Seibold-Crosbie and Kate Smyth both ran road PBs for the women's team, while travelling reserve Clint Perrett ran a track 5k PB. Bayside coaches Sally McGrady and Nicki Frey were members of the management team. Here are some groovy photos.
PREMIERS AGAIN The women's team followed the Bayside Blokes' earlier example by achieving back-to-back premiership glory in 2002-3. The men performed well again, finishing third. Read all about the great performances in Week 1 and Week 2. Lots of other match reports live on the News Page and photos live here.
