#5-- A League of Their Own

A good comedy about a women's baseball league during WWII.  Tom Hanks stars as the manager of the team.  I thought the movie was pretty funny and Hanks has some good comments on the game.

#4--  The Sandlot

A great movie about a group of kids in the '60's who spend most of their time playing ball.  I think this movie was probably meant to be a kids movie, but I think people of all ages would find it funny.

#3-- Eight Men Out

A pretty accurate account of the 1919 "Black Sox" scandal where eight members of the Chicago White Sox threw the World Series.  A lot of good baseball action and an interesting story make this an excellent movie.  I would recommend this movie to anyone and I think it is a must-see for any baseball fan.

#2--  Field of Dreams

A great story about an Iowa farmer who builds a baseball field in the middle of his cornfield after hearing voices.  This movie has a great cast, starring Kevin Costner, James Earl Jones, and Ray Liotta as "Shoeless" Joe Jackson.  Probably the best baseball drama around, although Eight Men Out is close.  Jones has some great lines about the game.

#1-- Major League

This is a hilarious movie about an underdog team that makes a run at the pennant.  I laughed pretty much throughout the entire movie.  Although some of the baseball scenes are a little unbelievable, the humor easily makes up for it.
