I am from the island of Singapore.

I recieved my Secondary education at St. Joseph's Institution, and pre-tertiary education at Catholic Junior College. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Merit, from the National University of Singapore, majoring in Social Work and Philosophy. I completed my postgraduate studies at Monash University-Clayton Campus in Melbourne, Victoria. I was doing a two years Masters program in Philosophy at the (where else) the Philosophy Dept. at Monash. I was awarded a H2A (Or Hons 2nd Upper, or 2.1 under the British system) for my MA.

My dissertation was was titled, "An excursion in Comparative Epistemological Theories: Gettier Visits the Nyaya-Vaisesika school" and entered on the 22 December 1998. It was a examination of the Gettier Problem viewed from an alternative epistemological system.

When I am not hitting the books, I hit the mat. More specifically, Aikido. When in Singapore I practise at the Ueshiba Aikido Association Dojo, which is officially recognised and registered with the Aikikai Foundation, Aikido World Headquarters in Japan.

While in Australia, I practiced in Monash University, at the Monash Aikido Club, which is also officially recognised and registered with the Aikikai Foundation, Aikido World Headquarters in Japan.

During my time at Bristol, I practised with the University of Bristol Aikido Club, which is affililated with the Aikikai Foundation, through the British Aikido University Federation. The BUAF is in turn under the direction of the British Aikido Federation.
