1997-98 Record: 7-9-2 The Greensburg Salem Hockey team got off to a good start in their 1997-98 season. They won their first four games before falling into a slump for almost the remainder of the season. Toward the end of the year the Lions came back to make the playoffs and finish fourth in their division. The GS battled Hampton in the first round of the playoffs. It was a good game; however, GS lost and was eliminated from the playoffs. Captains for the 1997-98 season were Chad Spessard, Travis Tymoczko. -summary submitted by Scott Hopkins |
