Match Report by Kanan Packrisamy

Another good turnout was experienced at the field. 12 players one desire, 3 more points to the kitty, and not "hello kitty" bullshit. The league was delighted to give debuts to Suresh and Vijay today, thus getting us to 32 players in the league at present. The game started without me as I had to attend to pressing matters elsewhere. When I had arrived it was made known to me that Suresh and Bernie had scored to maintain the status quo at 1-1. But things were soon to change, as the first three games had only yielded 2 point something goals per game we did not expect to see anymore goals today. But we were surprised by strikes from Vijayan, Sean and two from Winston that made clear who was going to get the three points on offer and a draw was not an option for the already weary winning team of Dinesh, Norman, Kanan, Winston, Chris Daniel and Sean. But there was controversy during this slow game that has now led to a discussion on new goalposts. Nicholas had slammed a shot at out goal. The shot propelled the ball past our thief-catcher Suresh and hit the post, causing the goalpost to fly backwards and the ball did likewise thanks to one of our defenders. As the ball had not so the speak gone in we disallowed a goal. A similar but not the same situation occurred at the other end, Winston had taken a shot from about the halfway mark and had his shot hit and post but go in. The goalpost did move, but the goal was obvious.

Thus the final score is 4-2 today. Love to write more, but tomorrow seems good to me to do that. We will discuss the outside game, the first this century and not to mention millennium. We would also like to touch on player commitment and passion for the sport of Football in general and the that experienced at Peirce F.C.
