The Reaper

Kid Nitro: The Reaper dropped by recently to answer the 10 Questions.  He is a man who I haven't got to watch enough of, but is a legend in wrestling.  By just the fact that he won the TWD Dominator, one of the hardest belts to win that I've heard of, not once but seven times speaks for itself.  In hearing his answers, I realized how big this business is, and no matter how big you think you are, there's probably someone better out there.

1. What is your most memorable moment in your career?

It would have to be the time I won The TWDominator for the first time. It was late '96 and it pitted the Dominator vs. The World Champ vs. The IC Champ in a triangle match: All titles on the line. I was the IC Champ at the time and considered the underdog. My two opponents: Polar Bear and Apocalypse we're already huge superstars and I was ,for all intents and purposes, still a rookie. But I pulled it out and the name Reaper finally got on the map.

2. Who is your greatest enemy/rival of all time?

That one is easy: The Lord's Cabin. This collection of wrestlers has not only been my greatest enemy but The Deranged Ones
greatest foe as well. But the one man who sticks out the most in my mind would be Mark 'Sinister' Rack. We have always had
this hate/respect relationship. We have only met once in the ring and he got the better of me but I'm confident that if we ever meet again the outcome will be different...But are paths will cross again. That much I'm sure of.

3. Who is your greatest ally of all time?

That would have to be two men who ,in my opinion, defined tag team wrestling: Scythe and Shade ,The Alliance of Death. These two are former Deranged Ones and the most trustworthy guys I've ever met. Together we created chaos over in the TWD. I had the privilage of watching these two wrestle and I really a real loss for the number of people who missed out on this duo. I never knew what happened to them though...They just dropped out of sight and they we're never heard from again but I'll never forget them.

4. Which Title that you have won means the most to you and why?

The TWDominator of course. You know you would have to feel blessed to win a title that big only once...But to win it SEVEN times ,like I have, is really astonishing. To me the Dominator represented the very best the industry had to offer to the fans and to the world in general. It was the grestest honor of my life to be able to hold that belt and defend it week in and week out. Defeating the very best. That is what wrestling is all about and I'm glad I got to be a part of it.

5. What is the greatest match you have ever been involved in?

A real DEATH match. Not the three falls thing. No, this was quite different. The winner had to literally kill his opponent to
win the match. I took on a man known by the name of TWISTER. I took place on May 10th, 1997. I still remember the day
as if it we're yesterday. We we're fighthing near the grave site because the winner also had to bury his dead opponent and
Twister was choking the life out of me...And then I got my second wind for some reason. I reached over grabed his neck and
twisted it killing him instantly as I broke it. It was the darkest day in my life and to this day I live with his life on my hands.

6. If you could change one thing that has happened in your life, what would it be?

Nothing. I think it is best to not think about the past that much because if you think anout what could have been and what might
have been if you had changed a couple things it will keep you up a lot of night. I like to think more of the present and the furture
more then anything. I've had a great career and I'm only 28 yrs. old. I have a lot to look forward to and I presonally can't wait
to see what is in store for me in the upcoming years...

7. Who is your favorite wrestler to watch wrestle?

That's a hard one. if your talking right now and in the present I think it's a tie between Speed and Kid Nitro. Both are great
competitors and keep the fans coming back for more. If you want me to say who my favorite wrestler is that I ever watched
wrestle in my career it would have to be Avatar. Avatar, was in my opinion, the greatest cruiserweight of his time. We had a lot
of great battles. He may of been 1 for 13 against me but he was a great challenge each and every time we stepped into the ring
to wrestle.

8. Who was the biggest influence on you as a wrestler growing up?

My father. He always wanted me to become a wrestler. Ever since I can remember he taught me all he knew about the business. He took me on his road trips and had me watch every time he went out there. He was also my best friend and whenever I was down ,like early in my career, he was there to give me guidance and help along the way. He was the one
who prepared me for my match with Twister...Sadly, my father died just days after that match. But I owe him everything and
his memory will live on with me forever.

9. If you could pick anywhere in the world to wrestle in, where would it be and why?

Canada. The TWD was Canadian based and it is where the fans know me best. Now that I'm back wrestling in the AGW and
the U.S. again I realize how much the Canadian fans meant to me. They we're always behind me. I was their hero and one
day I hope to return to Canada and wrestle their again. I owe them that much foir the great way they treated me. When I
eventully retire I hope to have my farewell tour on in Canada. It is defintely the way I want to go out of wrestling.

10. If Hollywood were to make a movie based on your life, who would play you?

Probably a younger Sly Stalone. I always loved Stalone's movies and with a little bit of makeup and some elevator shoes he
would make the perfect Reaper. Although I would like to pursue a acting career myself one day. So if I ever do become a actor I would play myself...Who else better to do it then me???
