AFL2010 Tracker
The Arena Football League has announced that “it has finalized a revitalized business model that will enable the league to return to competition in time for the 2010 season.” The league also said the restructuring process should be completed in the next 30 days. So, no official word may come before the end of May.

In other AFL news, the Los Angeles Avengers will fold, however, Pittsburgh is expect to join the league if/when it returns.

The New USFL
There has been a recent announcement about the formation of the New United States Football League. The 12-team league, using some of the original USFL cities and nicknames, plans to begin play on February 20, 2010. A sixteen game season, with no preseason games, will run until the end of June. Along with rules changes, such as a four-point safety, the New USFL plans to sell stock to the fans.

An impressive Advisory Committee has been assembled including Jack Youngblood, Darrel "Mouse" Davis and the Tampa Bay Bandits own Gary Anderson. It seems that there may be only one team planned for Florida and it may in Orlando. So, the New USFL may not feature the New Tampa Bay Bandits.
