Texas Sharks Background

The Texas Sharks started up in the fall of 1997. The Sharks consist of players born between 8/1/86 and 7/31/87 located in the mid-cities between Dallas and Ft.Worth with a base in the Colleyville area. The Sharks won their select league 3 seasons in a row at the Texas School of Baseball Select League (TSB) in Southlake, Texas. The Sharks Fall of 97 record was 14-5. The Sharks improved in the Spring & Fall season of 1998 going 55-15-3 and winning the Spring and Fall league Championships at TSB. The Sharks also captured the Championship at the Oklahoma Super Series One tournament in Norman, OK. and the Triple Crown World Qualifier in Burleson, TX As well as placing 5th at the Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat Springs CO. The Sharks went 64-20-4 in Spring & Fall play of 99 including TSB league Spring Champions, PONY Bear Creek league and Tourny champions, Cedardale Preseason Co-Champions and were AAU National Championship Contenders in Burnsville MN. The Sharks moved to Texas's Premier select league ARC Park (Select Baseball Inc.) in Fort Worth, in the Fall of 99. For the third year in a row the Texas Sharks qualified for and competed for a National Championship, this time at the 2000 AAU National Championship in Arkansas, advancing to Championship pool play before bowing out. In 2001 the Sharks played another winning season in the Select baseball Inc. Premier league as well as going 10-1-1 in the Super 8 High school League, finishing the Spring/Summer season going 22-3-1 in it's last 26 games, concluding with a 3rd place finish at the 16&Under Super Series World Series.

Schedule/News for Sharks Players/Parents

All the members of the Texas Sharks are now Sophomores in high school and playing for their respective high school teams. Coach Pond and Coach Mitchell wish them the best of luck. The Texas Sharks baseball club closes out it's history with a total of four league championships and multiple tournament championships as well and qualifed and competed for four National Championships.
