Hi, this is the home page of the Nunawading and District Horse and Pony Club. We are just one of many Pony Clubs within Australia.
What makes our Pony Club different from the rest?
I guess the main difference is that we also have members, who as yet, don't own a horse (non-owners) as well as members who already own a horse (riding members).
The non-owners group is often just a place to gain some knowledge about horsemanship and horse care and when mum and dad see how committed you are they are then more than happy to go ahead and purchase or lease a horse. The great thing about this is that you are already confident to have a horse of your own and you know a fair amount about looking after it. The next best thing is that you are now ready to go on as a riding member and develop your riding skills... among other things!
Pony Club really is a great place for a 'horse crazy' person to be. You have a chance to learn how to look after and care for your 'best friend' as well as learning how to ride in the many different areas within the sport of horse riding such as Showjumping, cross-country, dressage etc. There is so much more to Pony Club than I can begin to mention here.
All of our members love attending rallies each month and it's just as much a social thing as it is anything else, a chance to catch up with friends that each share that same love of horses as you do!
P.S Something else that stands out about the Nunawading and District Horse and Pony Club that is our members, they know just what it's like to be true 'Nuna's'. They are dedicated, loyal and display true horsemanship at all times….. A truly great bunch!
