It was the 96-97 Playoffs and me being the die hard fan that I am decided to wear my Hasek jersey to the game. My neighbor who is a proffesional agent supplied the tickets for the evening and he took myself and his son.

The Sabres had jumped out to an early lead and were able to keep it the entire game. I of course was estatic and every time they scored I would jump up and celebrate. But, the two men behind me were not as estatic. By the mid part of the second period, each of them had already taken about 8 beers. When they realized that I was a Sabres fan, they were quick to criticize.

The first thing that they did was to spill beer on me "by accident" a few times. After it had repeated 2 or 3 times, my neigbor stood up and turned around to say something. He told them just to calm down or something to that effect but it was no use. They started to call my neighbor "Little Man" and were saying that he never did anything for the city of Philadelphia. This is where the irony comes in, in that my neighbor happened to be Eric Lindross' agent when he was traded to Philadelphia. Needless to say, it did make me feel a little bad because he is not a Sabres fan although he was wrongfully accused of being one.

So my neighbor decided to go get the security guard. When they were asked to leave the men did not want to go. So then when they were in the tunnel, one of the men threw a punch at the security guard. It was definitley a night to remember and for the next playoff game I went to I was sure to keep my jacket zipped up tight over the jersey.
