LATEST NEWS

24/4: Ross County have no injury worries ahead of tomorrow's crucial class with Airdrie United. A win would seen them safely into the First Division next season and a draw would do likewise (assuming Clyde do not win). Richard Brittain is suspended for this match.

The games featuring in the Irn Bru First Division tomorrow are as follows:

Airdrie United vs ROSS COUNTY
Dundee vs St Johnstone
Partick Thistle vs Livingston
Queen of the South vs Clyde
Current League Positions

18/4: Ross County are still in the driving seat as they attempt to escape the relegation threat this season, but the results this weekend brought the chasing two firmly into the rear-view mirror.
Ross County lost at home to Dunfermline (1-3) and both Clyde and Queen of the South won. The results leave Ross County seven points clear of Airdrie and eight clear of Clyde with three games remaining. Next week's match against Airdrie will be a nail-biter from start to finish.
In today's match Dunfermline dominated the first half but turned round only up by one goal at half time.
In the second half Ross County strated brightly and striker Steven Craig brought the sides level in 47 minutes.
Ross County had the better of the play with shots from Golabek, Higgins and Gardyne coming close.
However, two quick goals in 73 and 77 minutes put an end to Ross County's chances of taking a point from the game.
Ross County: Malin, Corrigan (Strachan, 23), Golabek, McCulloch, Keddie, Watt, Hart, Lawson (Stewart, 71), Higgins, Craig and Gardyne. Unused subs: Soutar, Brewster and Morrison.

18/4: The results from today's Irn Bru Division One were as follows:

Clyde 3 - 0 Airdrie
Livingston 0 - 1 Dundee
Morton 0 - 1 Partick Th
Ross County 1 - 3 Dunfermline
St Johnstone 2 - 3 Queen of the South
Current League Positions

17/4: Derek Adams is still wary of relegation as he tells The Press and Journal that Ross County are not safe yet!
Adams says that avoiding relegation is still his main objective with four games left in the First Division campaign. After being demoted to the Second Division two seasons ago Adams is wary of the Victoria Park side falling down the table in the next month.
Although the Dingwall men are 11 points clear of bottom-placed Clyde and seven ahead of Airdrie, who occupy the relegation play-off position in the First Division, Adams insists County are not safe yet.
Adams said: "Clyde could still pick up 12 points and so can Airdrie, so you always have to look over your shoulder. Maintaining our place in the First Division would be an achievement."
Adams does not have a budget to work with for next term and confirmed Dundee are in talks with forward Sean Higgins about agreeing a pre-contract agreement.
Adams added: "All I am concentrating on is the next four games, end of story, then I will assess the situation."

11/4: Ross County and Clyde played out a 0-0 game which was of little use to either side as they battle against relegation from this very tight Irn Bru Division One.
Ross County did themselves no favours when they were reduced to 10 men when Richard Brittain was sent off after 27 minutes for directing a kick at Marvyn Wilson.
County still created the best chances with Craig Brewster, Sean Higgins and Michael Gardyne all coming close. However, Clyde almost snatched victory late on when goalkeeper Joe Malin made a double save from Pat Clarke.
Ross County: Malin, Dowie, Keddie, McCulloch, Boyd, Watt, Brittain, Lawson (Hart 58), Higgins (Craig 74), Brewster (Daal 70), Gardyne. Subs Not Used: Soutar, Morrison.

11/4: The results from today's Irn Bru Division One were as follows:

Dundee 0 - 1 Airdrie
Dunfermline 1 - 3 St Johnstone
Livingston 0 - 2 Morton
Patrick Thistle 0 - 2 Queen of the South
ROSS COUNTY 0 - 0 Clyde
Current League Positions

10/4: It was reported in today's Press and Journal that want-away striker Sean Higgins is being targeted by Dundee.
Dundee are in talks with Ross County forward Sean Higgins about a summer move to Dens Park. The 24-year-old is eager to leave the Dingwall club following an after match altercation with manager Derek Adams after an away defeat at Morton last December.
Despite a strained relationship between the player and the manager, Higgins has been a continual presence in the County starting XI, scoring 13 goals this campaign. His prolific form has alerted Dundee manager Jocky Scott, who would not have to pay a fee for the attacker as his contract expires at the end of this campaign.
Higgins, along with Richie Hart, Alex Keddie, Andy Dowie, Mark McCulloch, Dyron Daal and Martyn Corrigan, becomes a free agent at the conclusion of the campaign.
Adams admits he is not yet in a position to offer new deals to players. He said: "I can't speak to anybody as I don't have a budget yet. Until I get the budget from the chairman and the board of directors then I can't speak to players just now. Hopefully that will happen in the next couple of weeks, but I just have to get on with it, my hands are tied."
It is reported elsewhere (and Lorsports will bring you the news as soon as we can confirm the story) that Derek Adams has delivered an ultimatum to the Ross County Board: "stump up the cash or I'm off!"
